No apology for Shah Rukh

Mumbai: It was taken as a truce between two of the film industry's biggest superstars, Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. Reportedly it was Aamir who extended the olive branch -- he first apologised to SRK on a TV chat show and the two later shared a common platform during the producer vs multiplex faceoff, in part thanks to Karan Johar who played a mediator's role.

However, the Ghajini star's recent comments come as a surprise as it suggests that all might not really be well between them. "I haven't apologised to Shah Rukh and I see no need to do so. But I have said sorry to his children as they were hurt that I had written Shah Rukh's name that was given to a dog," Aamir said.

Aamir had created quite a stir when he wrote on his blog that he had a dog called Shah Rukh and that it was licking his feet. The comment upset King Khan who said that his children were big fans of Aamir, but not any longer. It was then that Aamir was reported to have apologised to Shah Rukh as well as his children. He then stopped referring to the dog as Shah Rukh and started calling him Shaaki instead.

"I was upset to hear that Shah Rukh's children were unhappy with me. I had no intention of hurting them. I have stopped calling the dog by its earlier name," Aamir said during the release of a coffee-table book on Guru Dutt. The event also saw SRK's closest ally and loyalist Karan Johar sharing a genuine camaraderie with Aamir.

Katrina Kaif, who after her alleged break-up with Salman is in the good books of SRK, was also present at the event hosted by the flamboyant Vijay Mallya. Kat also shares a great rapport with Mallya having been the face of his 20:20 IPL cricket team.
