and plzzzzzz i am NOT JUSTIFYING the general attitude of adhiraj..i hated the way he talked to the peon or the girl........i am only justifying the way he is behaving with samrat and the gang.....he's right: they r a bunch of jokers who should've got suspended from college for ragging in real life.
wow ... this topic is going strong!!!
okay - my last reply on this - and i admit to being biased because I like samrat, but still ... 😃 ...
were sammy and the gang wrong to pull the milk prank and the 'give the rose to the first person you see' - the rose thing is a standard ragging practice and having been through it myself in college (at the receiving end!) I don't think it's that big a deal. Milk prank ONLY seen in movies and shows - i've never seen it in real life - no one has the time or the magic ingredients like rope, bucket etc to set up elaborate pranks like that! If it had come off, it might have been humiliating, definitely not mentally scarring - and sorry, not needing suspension, there are far worse forms of ragging that deserve that - and I DO know what I'm talking about!
Coming to what your topic is about (I happen to debate in real life ...😛 so I'm enjoying this !) .. does that justify Adhiraj's attitude?
Well, my opinion still holds - NO! If you justify it, you're saying that because sammy and gang were wrong, he's correct to react in an equally childish way? Take revenge for those pranks by using his position, by threatening to chop and change the team the way he wants to, and implying by his attitude that he can punish those who pulled those pranks on him? How does that make him any better - how does that even make him right? It's like saying that you pulled a stupid prank on your gym teacher - and he's reacting by saying i can put you out of the team, so there - regardless of whether the member of the team deserves it or not. If he has to retaliate, he should keep his position as coach out of it completely and then I will say - okay, he's retaliating for the pranks, but he's not misusing his position to do so. The two are separate.
But if you say sam's attitude to him as coach is wrong, I might agree you have a point, which is why I agreed with gunjan in the first place. Even then I think that Adhiraj's attitude is STILL wrong, even more wrong, because he knew why he was here in the first place and as a coach and a senior, he's expected to be more mature and able to handle things in a better way than this. I wouldn't have much faith in a coach who used his position for his personal vendetta (though lots of people in real life actually do that - but that doesn't make it RIGHT).
Sam has some justification for his attitude - this has come as a complete shock to him, and he's captain of a winning team after all. The only justification Adhiraj is that 'he didn't start it' - not good enough, in my opinion! Not if he's supposed to be senior, and more experienced a player. (Besides which, he DID start it - Dia introduced herself fairly decently as culture secretary and his response was - i don't like the culture - change it 🤢)
Okay, that's it from me!
