Kareena: This is the first time Saif and I have done a love story. We did Tashan but I was with Akshay Kumar in that film. Working with Saif is a learning experience for me. He's not all method or ' like me ' someone who depends solely on spontaneity. He is an actor who can be spontaneous even in his 20th take and that's what a good actor should be. I can't do that. I've seen only Aamir Khan and Saif do that.
Saif: There are many levels to that question. There's the personal and the romantic side and then there's the professional side. Working with her professionally, (if I didn't know her)would be the easiest thing in the world. It's like working with another hero. There are no tantrums, there's no fuss. But fortunately or unfortunately we know each other. This is the first time that I've worked with someone I'm so involved with. It's a little odd when you're connected and you're working together. There are good sides to it and bad. Like she's constantly aware of my moods. And I'm a moody actor. I don't like to talk to my co-stars more than I have to. Like when I'm working with Deepika (Padukone), Preity (Zinta) or Rani (Mukerji), I don't know whom they're talking to or what they're doing in between shots. I think the chemistry comes across beautifully on the screen when there's personal discomfort sometimes. Apart from Preity, I haven't really gotten along well with anyone. When I did work with Kareena it was after a while. We were doing long schedules away from each other. So it was a great pleasure to shoot in Philadelphia together. So it was nice to be with each other. (Turning to Kareena) You remember how cold it was? Minus 10?
Saif: Her weakness is paya. She's not a vegetarian anymore. She eats chicken all the time. Okay. That's a joke. I don't think this is a weakness as much as a vulnerability. But you can make a monkey out of her very easily. People do. She's very emotional. She gets carried away quickly. And like most actors, she's ambivalent. She can feel two ways about one thing constantly. I'm like that too. Focus, time management, dedication, fidelity and honour are her strengths. She's passionate about work and life.
Kareena: He thinks too much when he doesn't need to. He's a bit of a worrier which is worrying.
Saif: She tells me so all the time. I need to get rid of it.
Kareena: Saif's an extremely honest man. He's so honest that if he probably lied, he'd go up to the person and confess promptly that he lied. If he doesn't want to be with you, he'll say it. It might hurt that minute but it's better that way. He's an honourable man. Very few people in the industry especially actors have honour. It's probably because of his lineage; his parents have instilled great values in him.
