Riya Sen celebrated her birthday on Tuesday night at Enigma.
We spotted Sohail Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Esha Deol, David Dhawan… birthday girl Riya was so high that she left all the gifts she got behind at the disc.
The only present she went home with was a Rolex watch. We are not sure who gifted it to her but the moment she got it, she wore it. Guessing by this picture taken three days after her birthday – At Samita and Ashish's wedding — Riya still hasn't come down from her 'high'.
Ajay's Maserati!
Oops! Mid Day reader Abishek Kasliwal wrote it to tell us that unlike reported in hitList, Ajay Devgan has not bought a Ferrari but a Maserati Quatroporte.

"The only actor to own a Ferrari and that too the latest one is Sanjay Dutt. Ajay Devgan can be said to own the first Maserati in the film fraternity.
There are two others in Mumbai already besides his car but not owned by actors.
You can check out pictures of Ajay Devgans car on www. team-bhp.com."

On January 22 model-actress Yana Gupta and hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani decided to put some smiles on the faces of less fortunate street children.
The venue was the shelter home of Project Crayons (Child Rehabilitation and Youth Oriented Nationwide Services) in Malad.
Project Crayons works to transform the lives of street children and children from rural areas. Yana and Sapna distributed sweets and Sapna promised the children that she'd come on a Sunday and style their hair.
Yana promised to spend more time teaching some dance moves to the kids. Pooja, a kid from the shelter on the first instance exclaimed on seeing her, "Aye babuji dheere chalo wali didi aa gayi!"
Kahaani Sandiip ki
The creative head for Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii — Sandiip Sikcand is down with a serious stomach and throat infection. The reason? A late-night dinner with Eijaz Khan, who tempted Sandiip to go off the strict diet his doctors had advised.
"I was strictly warned not to eat any outside food. But it had been ages since I had met Eijaz and had dinner. The food we had was awesome but the next day I suffered miserably." Sikcand further adds that he has now been forced to carry boiled vegetables on the sets.
"My veggies dhaba is eaten up by the actors, so I end up starving. But work cannot suffer, hence I haven't been ready to take a break." Among his upcoming projects is Balaji's non-fiction show — Kandy Floss which is due to go on air in the coming month.
RDB: Written out of anger
Writer Kamlesh Pandey is gung ho about Rang De Basanti. As screenplay and dialogue writer of RDB, he says, "Luckily Rakyesh Mehra (the director) and I share the same emotions and concerns.
RDB may have a cynical point of view but I think it is the wake up call for today's youth, who seem to have compromised with the two monoliths — the corporate and the family, who make you believe what they want you to believe.
I wrote RDB out of a sense of anger because under the guise of cinema, we only find crap cropping up every one and then..I belong to the school, which thinks that a film ought to have some substance and set out to say something."
The writer laments the fact that though we claim to be the biggest film industry in the world, we do not even have a film course or workshops for screenplay writing in even a single university. We agree.
Abhijeet bana writer!
Now you can catch Indian Idol Abhijeet Sawant between the covers.
He has penned a book called Aapka Abhijeet (what else?) which will be released by Popular Prakashan on February 1 at Crossroads, Kemps Corner. The chief guest is Idol judge Sonu Nigam.
We assume Sawant has chronicled his life and times from his humble Mahim abode to the Idol crown. We wonder what next in the Aapka Abhijeet series?
