Hindu tradition takes devar as equivalent to son, example,Sita and Laxman. Many places, one can still see the devar calling Bhabi as Bhabima. But serials like Kumkum showed that Devar can be a husband, which is not impossible/bad as per my view. Actually, since there is no blood relation, marriage can happen, thats my presumption again. For girls, if elder sister passes away, the younger sister is considered as the best option for Jija, esp. if there is a child from the first marriage. Masi is more or less like mother, I think thats the funda.

And I think thats the way it shuld be.

If someone dies... the world doesnt stop. Marriage is not the ultimate goal of human's in this world. There are many other things... marriage looks best when its got love, respect, morality and commitment to it. Marriage based on desperation or confused ideas is a marriage made of illness and abnormalities (in my own personal opinon ofcourse).

Life was never a bed of roses... I'm a one woman guy anyway... hope that the girl i get thinks the same...lolz... eheh.. =) ...

Indian serials went all marriage freaks just a couple of yrs back I remember.... those days i didnt watch Serials alot... just saw an episode or two of KUMKUM and had <censored> feelings about that!... But ofcourse....everyone is free to feel the way they wanna!... Apun ko koi problem nai biroo.... laage raho!...

You are right... maariage is not everything in life. I feel instead of marrying a wrong person, its better to die waiting for the right person. My POV though///

hey guys thanks for replying.. :)
well i feel that the topic has gotten off topic but all i was trying to say is that Ranvir and Sadhna's relationship is so pure and beautiful just like one should be amongst a brother and sister.. :) I can't even imagine Ranvir and Sadhna marrying each other.. i mean even if alekh passed away and so did ragini i still couldnt think like that,,., religion and culture put aside.. i think ranvir takes care of sadhna soo well.. hes even teaching alekh how to be a good hubby... :)

Totally agree, I saw this too. the chemistry between them as a brother/sister is too good. They can read each other's mind.
