Monday 26/10/09 Episode No 605

Kirtana is packing - Hmm inimel nee ukkara ve mudiyaathu, eppO
paarthalum nikkanum !!! - Does not look very happy and here comes
Megs the frog - to croak and give a lecture on"married life "
( apdi pOdu, un kalyaanam thiri sangu sorgathile nikkarathu -
lecture mattum !!!) Asks Kirtana if she is unhappy. Kirtana agrees
and says that the very start is stormy -" i do not think that I will
live happily with him !!" Lecture starts " You can not decide
in the beginning that things wont work out - you have to live life-
make adjustments, compromises and then..." Kirtana
says that she also has dreams -"ellam waste aa pOidumO??" Megs now
deems it fit to recall her life history " see when i was born, appa did not
accept me as his daughter.." Kalai is entering the room and hears
the whole story " what could amma do?? she left me with grand parents
and brought u all up, right? ( hmmm valarthuttaalum - ellam supra
deepangal !!) And look at UBS and Loosu - UBS chose her life and Loosu
was forced in to a marriage . But today, Loosu is happier
thaan UBS !!!" Goes on to say that if Kalai regains his past memories , he
might throw her out -"appo na enna panna mudiyum??" Kalai hears all this
and is in tears . Comes to Megs and apologizes - tells her that he was a real
mean man -' I used to wonder as to why I lost my memory !!! Now I know that
I deserve that punishment.." Tells Megs that he will never ever throw her
away and asksKirtana to listen to Megs,the marriage counselor -hugs both
his daughters.

Danda household - Sara is leaving for "foreign" in about 4 days - aal
aalukku advice mazhai - Sara is vexed. Nandhu comes and chips in for
his part. Finally says that he has become a member in some club - "gift
enna theriyuma?? two days in a resort..all expenses paid !!" Tams is all
set to go with Nandhu but Nandhu says that Loosu and moron must go -
"kalyaanam aagi honey moon kooda pogalai..so both of u go.."
Loosu is more than willing but moron dilly dallies ..since Loosu gives
the green, Nandhu hands over the vouchers to her. Loosu goes in to make some
coffee - moron follows . Tries to dissuade her from the honeymoon trip -
but Loosu is bent upon becoming a mother - so moron has to sire a
child !!! Loosu has the last word - "resort pOrOm, honeymoon.."
Moron looks as if he is going to the gallows and Loosu smiles.

Tilaga and Megs - Megs is saying about Kalai apologizing - Tilaga is
overjoyed - Megs says " nee evvalavu kashta pattu enga ellaraiyum
valarthe? ( aama enge valarthaa??? Parenting le A B C kooda
theriyalai !!!) Appa inime ennai avaroda amma nnu sonnar maa"
Tilaga is happy that Kalai accepted Megs -" un vairgyam balichu duthu.."
Both do a mini RKO - athai comes - with her usual gusto - oru suthu
sutharaanga -- "Kirtana vai kOndu pOi vidanum ..mm mmm seekiram.."
Kirtana does a namaskaram to her parents.Sezhi looks at his parents
andwants to capture the couple -"apdiye nillunga.... oru photo.." Athai
goes near Kalai but Sezhi says that he just wants his parents together -
"avanga rendu perum thaniya irukkira photo ve illai !!!" Athai Ooram
kattufies and is angry - Sezhi is oblivious to that and keeps clicking -
"amma shoulder le kai podumga ppa..." Athai can not stand this
exhibition of love from yen thambi Kalai Arasu , shouts " nalla neram..
Kirtana should leave..." Finally all except paatti and Megs leave.
Samy comes - asadu vazhinjing - wants Megs to come to maniac's house.
Megs asks "pray why?" Samy says that maniac has some doubts about
some file... Megs says that she can not leave home - "kalyaana veedu,
neriya velai... go and tell maniac ..and he can call me if he has any doubts.."
Goes in but Samy hangs around....When Megs comes out , puts forth his
request again but Megs explodes "vara mudiyathu....pOi sir kitte
sollunga... he will understand...." Samy knows that he is doomed ....
shoulder mele thalai nikkumO nikkathO???

Tuesday Episode 606 27/10/09

Kirtana goes to her PIL 's house. Balu and Karuna extend a
"very warm" welcome - athai is the spokesperson - Kalai clan
is made to stand outside - the handing over ceremony happens .
Conditions galore :
1. Balu kku respect is a must.
2. This house has a set menu for everyday - she better eat that.
3. Going out of the house with out permission is a big no no.
4. 4am is the wake up time - 2 mins koodina ...kabardhaaarr.
( Roja reminds - ukkarave koodathu, ninnunde thaan irukkanum -
athai maranthuttingalaa Balu??)
Athai agrees to all the conditions - Kirtana fumes - Kalai wants to
know if any other condition is forgotten...Athai tells Kirtana that from
now on she has to play slave - "Porantha veetukku oru gauravam irukku,
u better fly the Kalai flag high, ok??? " Kalai clan is dispensed from the
portico. Poor Meena comes to take DIL inside but Balu orders her to go
in - "vaasal varai vanthaachu, ulle vara vazhi theriyaathaa?" Balu and
Karunaa also go in - Kirtana is not sure - " am I allowed inside or I spend
the rest of my life in the portico??" - Finally Karuna is benevolent - "athaan
vanthuttiye, ulle vaa..."
( adiyeyyy Kirtana , ellarum ulle pOyaachu, thirumbi pakkame
Odidu - unga amma veetu pakkam thalai vaichu padukkathe, Oorai vitte
Odidu... Roja solra, kettukkO aamaa)

Samy goes back home - Maniac is waiting outside . Samy tells him that
Megs refused to come - "romba velai , vara mudiyaathu nnu sollittanga..
Nanum kalile vizhunthu kettaachu.." Maniac is mad - shouts at Samy for
not making Megs understand the sanctity of this day - "en life le romba
mukkiam aana naal ( un life le thaane?? ava life le illiye?? ) innikki Megs
ennai paarkka vanthe aaganum..." Asks Samy to go again but he does a
stay in strike -" enakku kirukku pidichudum..unakku epdi puriya vaikka?"
Maniac takes the photo - smiling Megs - places it on the swing , sits cross
legged and starts chanting - "if my love is true, Megs varuvaa..ava vanthe
aaganum.." goes on and on and on... ( muthi pOcchu aa aaa muthi pOcchu -
maniac kku kirukku muthi pOcchu... Roja mimics Thengai Srinivasan)
Samy now interjects - " Ok, we believe in destiny. If she comes because
of your chanting, then she is meant for u. But if she does not, will u stop
this love nonsense??" Maniac is deaf and dumb to the world - busy chanting
"ava varuvaa...vanthe aaganum.."

Athai is uss uss fying - brags about leaving Kirtana at her in-law's
place. Tells Sezhi that it is time to go back home. Drops a bomb
shell - "Kalaiarasu, vaada chellam, namba pogalaam.." Paatti frets -
" Vadivu, mappillai yai yen koopidare?? avar inge thaan iruppar."
Athai starts yen thambi Kalaiarasu voda arumai perumai - "avan
office kilambina, na munnadiye phone panni AC on panna solven..
Veetukku kilamba 10 mins kku munnadiye car le AC poda solven...
intha rat hole le why should he stay?" Megs and Tilaga knead their
hands... Athai holds Kalai and starts walking. Kalai says "one nimit"
anddddddddd removes athai's grip... athai is shocked..the rest are
ecstasic ... Kalai says that he would stay with his family - " tea shop
le ithai vida mosama irukkum, I am used to all that... and i want to
be with my wife and daughter...." Athai is stunned...Kalai asks Tilaga
for a cuppa... Megs and Paatti fuss over.... Sezhi is neutral.... athai
fumes...

Wednesday - kandein indha Megalavai!

Update for Wednesday, Oct 28, 2009:

Lachu and Dhadi walking down the street. Kanakku pillai comes on his bicycle, sees them and stops. He asks them how they are doing, and they say they are fine. Then he asks if Megala's wedding with Viswa has been finalised, and Lachu bursts out with anger, saying that Megala has changed and does not care for V any more, only for Anbu's money and wealth. Kanakku pillai says it doesn't sound like M and she and V have cared for each other since their childhood. They take leave of him.

Kanakku pillai goes to Thilaga's house. Thilaga tells him about Kalai being found, and she calls her husband. Kanakku is very glad to see Kalai, but Kalai does not recognize him. Thilaga explains about his amnesia. Kanakku takes leave of them, and sees Megala as he is leaving the house. He asks Megala about her wedding with Viswa being cancelled, and explains that he heard the news from Lachu. He tells her about L badmouthing her, and then tells M to somehow meet V one more time and solve the matters by talking it out.

Bhupathy is coughing and then he runs to the backyard where he vomits blood. Thamira hears him and comes and sees the blood, and calls the whole family out. Her husband comes and comes up with suggestions like it was the kurma or the ratha curry that was made the other day. Kanmani comes, and goes into a panic - Ayo ennanga aachu? Ayo, blood - a? Actually, it is only ketchup, Kanmani dear! Bhupathy scolds Thamira for fussing and sends her away. He vomits again, and now Kanmani hollers for athai and mama, and Danda comes. He insists that Bhupathy see a doctor so Kanmani takes him away, despite his protests.

Diwa goes to his parents' home. Durga asks him why he is there, and he says that they had a fight about the baby having a fever. Durga says that his wife does nothing but fight, and spits out a bunch of stuff about how they have had nothing but fights, and if he were a meesai ulla aan pillai, he would keep her under control. Diwa gets up and leaves, without taking the keys from the coffee table. Durga tells her husband how she had hoped to have a grand wedding and how she hoped that her DIL would be like a daughter and how they would make the whole world surprised by how close the MIL and DIL were. She sobs that nothing of that kind ever happened. Diwa hears all this when he comes back to pick up his keys. He picks up his keys, turns and goes out, thinking ...

Episode No 609 Friday 30/10/09

Loosu and moron in the hospital - moron scoots - Loosu
searches .... uh huh

Kalai comes back from the temple - Tilaga can not believe
her eyes. Kalai goes on a self pity trip - about how he was
working in the tea shop .... had no idea about who he was
etc., etc., Tilaga and Paatti are emotional. Megs serves food.
Tilaga talks about seeing the doctor. Kalai is not very keen but
Megs insists - " neenga enga pazhaya appa vaa...gambiramaa..."
( nee road le nippe, athaiyum naanga pakkanum...) Paatti asks Megs
to contact errand boy maniac - " get the expert opinion from him
and make an appointment.." Megs agrees ( athu sari, maniac enna
unga veetu maattu kkaranaa???)

This segment is really really sick - Kirtana is hungry and so wants
to eat - before Balu and karuna eat . Balu comes , serves arumai DIL
and throws acid on her face -"sappattu kku ipdi alaiyare?? unga veet le
saadam podaliyaa??" Explains the gunadisayangal of "Balu veetu women"
oru periya list of conditions ( yovvv, room pottu yosippiyaa?? puthusu
puthusa conditions??) Finally makes sure that Kirtana does not eat...
she goes in and .......does mommy replay - cries...

Thursday Update:

Sorry for the delayed update folks...

Scene starts with Megs meeting maniac... Maniac says we need to meet vishwam when he is like this...not sure how exactly he is;)
Maniac buys some time from megs till friday and in between gives that wicked/crooked smile...
Maniac finally says give me sometime and I will find it out by friday and let you know... As usual megs believes him
and leaves the areana.... maniac has that wicked smile in his face saying everything will be good.....

Keertana is washing her face... Karuna just comes and irritates her by coming in between... then he just asks her why not wearing any jewels...only very less...
keertana answers saying that she is only at home and then why all jewels... karuna insists that she dress up with all jewels as he couldn't see her properly on the day of their wedding...
ithu enga poi mudyiumo.......
Keertana just looks all the jewels and then wears it and goes to show to Karuna..
Karuna says how beautiful she is... and then calls his dad and says see how my wife looks....and then slowly balu
asks about all the jewels...and then verifies about if the jewels are Kadium...
and balu asks her to remove the bangle and checks it and he still holds it...
now he asks about the necklace and she removes it....
Balu's wife just stares.. now balu asks how much the necklace weighs and she says 10 sovierign... and he just q her...
karuna is just sitting there and irritating the viewers....
slowly balu asks her to remove everything and talks about design and then the weight.........
finally ends up saying remove the stud too.... with all these he got all the jewels back from Keertana...

kadvule.. innum enna enna parkanomo...

All the jewels is with Balu and keeps questions about how much totally all weighs... then she says 40 sovierigns...

Balu then asks Keertana why she put all the jewels.... then she says only karuna said so...
Balu calls Padma and ask her to bring all their jewels... she brings some jewels and Balu hands it over to Keertana
and ask her to wear that saying those are duplicate ones.... since the gold ones might get stolen even if they keep it at home....
Keertana just accepted syaing ok mama...
ALso balu says when you go for any virundh and stuff you need to keep asking for more and more jewels from your parnets and save that for future......

Karuna asks enna theedirunu karisanam... balu says karakka vendiyatha karakara varikkum ippadi than nadanthukanam...

Karuna says KEDY DADDY.... and freeze on his face...
Folks, enakku BP egirichu...I really can't tolerate if they show DIL's treated very badly.........
if this continues I will resign myself from watching megala...........
