Rajesh Khanna has rift with son-in-law Akshay Kumar...
Rajesh Khanna, the man who has been known for his love for women and wine during his matinee idol days, has of late been in news for two things ' him being selected for Bigg Boss 3 (which he turned down later) and his rift with son-in-law Akshay Kumar who had expressed his desire to buy Khanna's huge bungalow, Aashirwad on Carter Road, Mumbai. Khanna being excessively possessive about this multi-crore property, had rejected Akshay's overtures outright. When we visited Aashirwad recently, we couldn't help ask the yesteryear star about this. He replied with a curt, "Well, I do not want to talk about this."Nevertheless, he was pretty eloquent when it came to showing off his valuable collections like a few antique clock pieces, photographs et al. Not many know that Rajesh Khanna was very fond of mujras in his heydays. Relating an incident that happened way back in 1978, one of his close aides, says, "Rajesh Khanna had returned home in the wee hours after attending a Mujra where he had gifted the singer his watch and a silver kada that was given to him by Dimple Kapadia. When I met him for breakfast, he was dreading the moment when Dimple would find these things missing on him." No star in the history of Bollywood would have seen a rise and fall as dramatic as Khanna's in a matter of a few years. Little wonder then that he has been approached by many for penning his biography, hoping it might turn into a bestseller."I have been approached by quite a few known writers for the biography," the actor admitted to us. "I will do it sometime, but not now," he added.Perhaps he thinks he has lot more things to accomplish before putting it all down on paper. One of them happens to be his four star hotel project in Shirdi. "I will be performing the bhoomi puja of my hotel in Shirdi soon," he revealed.
