Summary/Background History: Akshat and Bhaskar are good friends from childhood. They share every-little moments together in life regarding happiness and sadness as well. Bhaskar has flirt with many girls in his life and never takes them seriously. Akshat doesn't believe in love until he meets Bani. Bani is Riddhima's best friend and Riddhima is Bhaskar's cousin. Hasn't been two months before Akshat and Bani have been dating each other; Bani's life has been going smooth even Rano accepted Akshat as a brother-figure in her life. Everything was going smooth in their lives. Bani and Akshat decided to tie the knot in marriage, every one of Akshat and Bani's friends are happy even their only siblings as well also Akshat's mother was on the top of the world. Everything is going smoothly for the soon newly wedded couples who are much in love... date of their marriage as been fixed... everything was under-control by Riddhima, Bhaskar, Rano, and Bharti because they didn't want to trouble their mother (Riddhima and Bhaskar bother consider Akshat's mother as their mother too) at this age of retirement. Rano was happy for her sister and mostly for herself because now her family is complete by Akshat's mother, Akshat himself and his sister Bharti.
Day of the engagement... two lovers became one in society soon after week weeks they will get married. Bani was on the top of the world because all her dreams are coming true in the fond of Akshat even Akshat was happy with everything happening in his life after his first break-up with Charu, but now everything fits together ' if he hadn't fought with Charu then on the same day he would meet Bani and this day wouldn't come so whatever happens... happens for good reason. Sometimes Akshat would get annoyed by Bhaskar teasing-sort-of-things even they girls would leave a single moment in teasing Bani as well. Finally the wedding day arrived, everyone was happy for the newly couples soon to be man and wife. Rano and Riddhima helped Bani get dress while Bhaskar helped Akshat get dress for his own wedding even gave him few steps in spending his first night in romantic tips. Akshat smacked Bhaskar on his upper-arm. "What was that for?" Bhaskar asked while rubbing his arm "because I did not ask for you're a-opinion in spending my own suhaag raat" Akshat made himself clear and hugged Bhaskar as well of happiness. Rano placed kaajal behind her sister's ear after some time Bani was called down for the rituals. Every moment was memorable for everyone at the wedding celebration mostly for Akshat and Bani.
Akshat placed manglastura around Bani's neck and sindoor in her forehead. They both took blessing from his mother and hugged their friends and siblings as well. Rano asked for shagun in stealing Akshat shoes, but Bhaskar always had tricks up his sleeves which backfire on himself. Bharti and Bhaskar decorated honeymoon sweet with candles and flowers on the bed. "Bhaskar I hope bro will like our gift?" Bharti expressed herself towards Bhaskar who was throwing flowers at her. "Umm... I think he will hate the arrangements we arranged for his first night" Bhaskar threw some sarcasm to lighten the mood.
Akshat decided to drove him and Bani toward Blue-Diamond Hotel as Bhaskar instructed him. Bani was looking on to the road since Akshat was talking on the phone and driving as well. Suddenly speeding car approaches from opposite side of the road toward Akshat's car. Bani scream her lungs out before huge smashing sound was made...
Next minute
Bhaskar, Bharti, Riddhima, Rano and Akshat's mother reaches at the hospital. Riddhima's father is a doctor and in charge of the case arrived. Riddhima spots her father and rushes by his side "Papa, how is Akshat and Bani?" "Riddhima can't say anything about Akshat at the moment and Bani has few scratches on her body and a broken arm but other wise everything is in god's hand." Riddhima's father leaves to attend Akshat inside ICU ward. Akshat's mother crying for her son at the moment and happy to know Bani is safe. Bharti stays by her mother's side. Rano a-waits in Bani's room with Bhaskar "Rano everything will be fine" Bhaskar was mostly telling himself then Rano "I know' nothing will happen to Juju. He is very strong." Rano breaks into tears in Bhaskar's arm.
Three days pass by... Bani is in deep shock about Akshat's condition both Riddhima and Rano been trying to break her shock-mode for past two days ago. Bhaskar helpless watch everything being shattered in front of his eyes. Akshat's mother hasn't left the hospital until she gets any news about her son. Bharti tried to act strong in front of everyone, but deep down inside even she lost hope. Another day past by and Akshat passed away in front of Riddhima's father. Riddhima's father as a doctor he had to reveal the bitter truth about Akshat's death, but as a father he was helpless because he considered Bani as his own daughter and never treated her different and today he has to break the awful news to shatter a family in difficult moment. Riddhima notice some sort of sad expression of voice he used while delivering dreadful truth to them. Akshat's mother faint in numbness... Bharti's world shattered, but no one had the guts to break the news to Bani. Bani kept on starring at her manglastura which broke during the accident period. Rano thought she can break the news to her sister, but when she entered her room she lost courage. Bhaskar acted tough at the moment like Bharti as a flirt emotions are empty word to him, but today he wanted to cry hard in the lost of a true friend and brother. Akshat's mother gained back her sense and looked at everyone worried look "what's wrong? Why is everyone so worried? Life and death come together as a cycle. I've lost my husband at tender age and now my son as well. I learned to handle my grief so as well my family should too."
Riddhima's father, Riddhima, Bhaskar, Rano and Bharti looked at Tanya who wasn't crying or reacting to sudden news of shock after she gained her sense back. "Mom we don't have the guts to break" tears escape from Bharti's eyes "the bitter, awful truth to Bani Bhabhi about Akshat Bhaiyya". Bhaskar took Bharti in his arm for comfort. Riddhima's father took both girls in his arms while they cried. Tanya entered Bani's room inside the hospital. She notice her pain by looking at Akshat manglastura which is broken now because of the accident. Tanya sits beside Bani and places her hand on her forehead. Bani looks at her mother-in-law without any change in her expression for past few days. "Mamma how is Akshat? You came to tell me that Akshat is fine... Right Mamma?" Bani spoke after long time in period. Tanya takes deep breathe "beta you know how bad the accident was and you are lucky to have few scratches on your body and a broken arm, but Akshat could not survival the accident" tears streaming down Tanya's face. "Mamma...! How can you think of coming here to deliver a dreadful truth about my husband? Mamma he's your son? How can you say awful thing like this? Mamma if it's a joke then stop it!" Bani rushes from her room toward the ICU. Bani barges inside where the nurses are unhooking machines from Akshat's body "what are you doing?" Bani screamed. "Ma'am we are doing as we are told by Dr. Gupta" one of the nurse told Bani. Bani stopped them removing his life-support and the nurses leave to deliver the news of Bani's action. Bani with her spare hand takes Akshat's hand in her hand and say "do you know what our family and friends are saying about you? Akshat I know you like joking around with me but stop it. I'm scared! Please get up and hold me in your arms. Are you hearing me?" Bani cries. Akshat doesn't react to any of Bani's words which makes Bani realizes the awful truth she was told by her mother few second ago and breaks into deeper sobbing.
Two months later
Nothing changed for Shergil family or Gupta family even Bhaskar changed his habits within these two months. Tanya each day notices the emptiness in her daughter-in-law's eyes and decides to move back to India. She picks up her cell... dials a number after some time someone picks up.
"Jai it's me Tanya"
"You sound depress. Is everything alright? Do you want me to come to Canada on your special request?"
"There's no need of you to come down here on special request because I've decided to move back to India after many years."
Before Jai could ask further question Tanya hangs up the phone.
