Hey Guys,

Recently in this talk show, Tera mera beach mein, a director Karan Johar said that in acting you need emotions and emotions are gestured by your face. In a rapid fire round he was asked whether he would prefer 60 kg Kajol in DDLJ or this skinny slim Kareena, and we obviously know that he prefered a 60kg Kajol instead of Kareena.

Karan Johar stated that Kareena's face had gone right in and no emotions are shown. Kambakqt ishq and other recent movies of Kareena does show this change in her that she has gone super skinny.

Well I agree with Karan Johar, do you agree with him? Please explain your thoughts on this comment...

It's quite difficult to emote with a fish face.

Well not necesarrily.

IN some cases it works in some it doesnt. You cant generalize. Kareena was skinnier in JWM than she was in K3G. Yet she emoted perfectly well.

I don't really get Karan's logic. Do thin people not have expressive faces. Anyway Kareena looked better in JWM than in K3G or Tashan.

Kareena was about the same weight in JWM and Tashan... there was a pretty negligible change in her figure in JWM and Tashan... Only coz we, as the audience saw her covered we didn't know how skinny she had actually become. But it's ironic in a way when ppl argue vehemently how they want Kareena to have the body she had in JWM and not the one she had in Tashan when in reality it's contradictory, because there was hardly any to no difference between her figure in JWM and Tashan.

And as desigal90 said, she did turn up an impressive performance in JWM, so I don't think the weight has affected her ability to emote at all.

Exactly! By the time JWM rolled around, Kareena was ALREADY on the road to achieving that controvertial figure. If you notice, she looked almost as skinny in JWM as she did in Tashan, though ofcourse she went full out.

If you want to compare her figure, a better comparison would be during her Hulchul days as compared to JWM.

No Karan, I dont agree. Weigtht doesnt ahve anything to do with being a good actor.

Otherwise, we would see a huge difference between Rajpal Yadav and Paresh Rawal just based on the fact that one is skinny adn one isnt.

thats so rude..i like her the way she is..she stunning and one of the best actresses in b-town

her acting is different from the others-like for example katrina shows toooo many facial expressions..i hate to watch her movies and kajol is just a master for herself in making weird but typical bollywood expressions--but it looks good on her ;P

so all i wanted to say i love kareenas acting and im not even a big kareena fan :D

I can't see the link between weight and facial expressions! Talking about Kareena's emotions, she seems pretty good in kurbaan juding by the trailer. Comparing 2 actressess acting seems ok to me but their weight?
Anyway, I wonder when people wil get over discussing whether they prefer Bebo with more or less pounds, it's a her body. During Don she was too chubby, during tashan too skinny, one should just focus on her work and not spend time discussing if this particular weight looks good on her or not
