The show deals with female infanticide and foeticide. An issue I feel strongly about. Would like to share a few facts with you.
It is often considered that infanticide and foeticide is common in lower-middle class and rural areas. But a recent study revealed that there was a lower sex-ratio in posh south Delhi localities than in not-so-posh ones. Now, the stork doesn't go checking the parent's bank balance, does it?? But the doctor definitely does. So, do the rich prefer boys too??
Coming to Rajasthan, there was a shocking news I read a few months ago. About a village in interior Rajasthan where no girl has got married in the last 120 yrs. 120 saal se doli nahi uthi. Disgusting. 🤢 Its not humanly possible that NO girls were born there in the last 120 years. Obviously, all the little girls were killed. 😡
