When Radhika sees the thappar marks, she rushes to her altar in the spooky store room, stubbing her toe on the wagon wheel as she runs.

"Kanha, how can you do this injustice to Amma? She is old and has spent her life trying to live according to your will. Please don't slap her every day like this. Unki chehra toot jayegi!"

Kanha stifles a smile and replies, "Whatshername has spent her life living according to the whims of society, and not according to what I want from her. Radhika, you are a good girl, but are you really going to tell me she is a great lady who has a comfy pillow waiting for her in Swarglok?"

Radhika is silent, knowing there is no possible response.....

Suddenly, Amma throws the door open and roars, ":Ayy, chori! Moko chai banao! Kanha ko bahana banake apne posterior pe mat baitho!" (my Hindi has failed me, alas!)
