Bollywood actress and Anil Kapoor's daughter Sonam Kapoor has defeated Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif to become the best dressed celebrity in India, according to People magazine.

"My style isn't about trends. I don't let the clothes wear me, I wear them," said the 24-year-old about her style statement.

On the list, Kareena holds second position, Priyanka is third, Twinkle Khanna on fourth and Katrina on fifth slot.

Sonam, daughter of Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor, made her acting debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Saawariya" opposite Ranbir Kapoor and later featured in "Delhi 6".

The young actress will now be seen in "Ayesha".

^^^Actually Twinkle should have been number 2. The lady dresses classily......knows what works for her and does not go out of her way to be fashionable. Also, although she does not spend huge amounts on designer wear she chooses her style over what style is in! Twinkle for number 2 all the way.

Sonam being number 1 is obvious and a refreshing change. I was sick of Sushmita Sen and Katrina Kaif being voted number 1 on every fashonable poll. Hello? From which angle do they appear fashionable? They look the same in every outfit. At least Sonam makes an effort to recreate herself with every outfit. I admire that. Sure, her style is copied from Hollywood boho chic girls at times (Sienna Miller and the Olsen twins), but atleast the girl works it! She may come across as a wannabe but her sense of style beats all those other bollywood starlets.

Priyanka, Katrina and Kareena shouldn't even be there! Their personal style sense is hidious. They look the same everywhere. Priyanka and her done to death short skirt/tube dress is hackneyed. Kareena and her Manish Malhotra sarees are blingy and over the top. Katrina and her circus like anarkalis and her tacky looking gowns are gaudy. Left to their own devices, they come up with the most outragious clothes ever. Only biased fangirls would find it stylish.

I am surprised to know that someone else aside from me also admires Twinkle's sense of dressing and style. Of course I wouldn't dress the way she dresses at the age I am right now, but when I am her age, I would definitely want a tip or two from her. Now that's what I call dressing one's age. I discovered a website that I am sure many know here already which is called 'Hamara Photos,' and every now and then I type in Twinkle's name to search up the events she attends just so that I can see what she wears.

Now to the topic: Sonam rightfully earns the title because she knows what's fit for her body and how to carry it. She doesn't wear Halloween costumes with dollar store bought hair extensions and show up to an event. Also, just the other day, I was watching an interview of hers and she mentioned how she accessorized from Forever 21, which happens to be an affordable store. SO I guess, it's not always about who spends the most or what designer clothes one is adorning themselves into.

Kareena doesn't deserve it. Why? Well because every event she has attended, it has always been those same sleeveless Manish Malhotra collections with puffed up hair.

Priyanka doesn't deserve it: Why? Well, because at every event she has gone to, she dressed up as a Barbie doll.

Katrina doesn't deserve anything, period.

I haven't seen Sonam too much on the red carpet or other events, but from her photoshoots and whatnot, she definetely deserves to be on this list. Although, sometimes I feel like she copies Hollywood a bit too much, especially the Olsen Twins and Mischa Barton.

How the hell is Katrina on this list?!?!??! I haven't really seen her wear anything other than the highly overrated Manish Malhotra saree's and anarkali dresses.

Kareena?!!? Oh jesus, I have yet to see her wear something that's not repulsive. She looks like K-jo dresses her each time she steps out.

Priyanka is a bit of a hit and miss, but I think she's generally too safe to be hailed as a fashion diva.

Why isn't Bipasha on this list?
