Another example....these weren't cornering/hawt scenes either....but I actually liked SG in this epi.....the way he finally gets her to get a ride back home from him and the way he teases her....it was one of the rare early SG epis I liked....LOL....I remember mentioning it in one of my musing posts too.

You've got a point there! I guess it really was the jock meets behenji formula that attracted those fans. I wasn't surprised that they liked SG ... I was just surprised that they DIDN'T like MN. I mean here was a couple with two brilliant actors and good character sketches. Yet everyone was drooling over the couple whose track was cliched and one of its actors was a mediocre performer.

The current SG track has undoubtedly gone haywire and I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't forward the hide and seek business. That I understand. But suddenly there seem to be a lot of newly converted MN fans everywhere ... so I was trying to figure out what made them like MN now. Your explanation nailed it though - compared to SG's drab storyline, the MN one is much, much more endearing even to the non-fans.

I liked that SG scene too ... Gunjan used to be a bit sensible back then. I didn't like Samrat's cockiness though ... and Mohit used to mumble a lot of his lines. The only reason I started liking them was because I thought theirs was going to be a hate-to-love relationship. Things didn't go as I thought, but I still liked them minus some of the awful scenes/tracks/songs. Now I can't stand what they have become. *sigh*

LOL yeah....Mohit's dialogue delivery was pretty terrible....that way he has improved since the beginning days but lordd, his 'realization' and 'in love' expressions still seriously scare me! lolll.....Samrat's cockiness only used to amuse me cuz of how Mohit couldn't really pull off the attitude...LOLL....he only ended up looking like a baccha....

I liked how Gunjan was sensible in the beginning too....despite being all overtly scared of many things...but I've always liked her dignity...it's only recently with the ridiculous overkill of her crying sessions/monologues that she's become unbearable too.

MN are unique yaar....however they seem to be spawning their own kind of clones now....LOLLL....I"m 100% sure one of the new CMG couples are gonna attempt to ape MN....let's see how much they succeed :P

Ah, the bike scene ... that's the first time they played KJ for them, right? I didn't like that song as their theme background score ... it never seemed to go well with them.

I don't remember that scene in detail but yes, it was one of their less cringe-worthy scenes. The part where she fell on him when he sped up the bike was soooooooo cliched though! Why do the writers always make the behenji come across as someone that's allergic to harmless physical contact with the opposite sex? Accidents happen. It wasn't intentional. Get over it!

Oh yes Anu...new CMG couples are going to be the next MN....but what I wonder is will there be any chemistry between the couples...MN are unique yaar....many bakwaas scenes are made bearble only because of ArTi...how can you copy that....is it just me or do you guys find it weird that they are launching CMG exactly on 22nd.

LOLL I think it was the second time they played KJ on them....first was intro epi...and yes it was very jarring......what I liked was the fact that there was very less of third person speak from Samrat.....he was actually relatively natural in this scene.....

LOL yes that bit from the bike was cliched.....but the bit I like is when he lets go of the bike and lets his hands fly in the air....haha....she gets so terrified there....it was a cute bit.
