New Delhi: Well, how often have you seen a much under scrutiny onscreen (alleged off screen) couple coming out all in the open with their link-up? Not often right... but Wednesday evening, Delhi experienced an unexpected bout of warmth, thanks to two warm people- Shahid Kapur and Rani Mukerji, who stirred quite a few passions by announcing their tongue-in-cheek link-up! The duo, who was in the capital for the promotion of their much awaited flick 'Dil Bole Hadippa', made sure that they grabbed all the eyeballs for their witty one liners.

Hand-in-hand and eyes-into-eyes, the adorable co-stars gave a much-required peep into their apparent camaraderie, leaving behind all the apprehensions about their 'supposed' affairs. Shahid and Rani announced with an aplomb, what no one was expecting, "We announce our link-up, so it's pretty much official now," said the couple jokingly.

While talking to the media about 'Dil Bole Hadippa', both Shahid and Rani agreed that it's a very special film and is a complete family entertainer. "It's a fun film, high on entertainment and is perfect for the ongoing festive season," said Shahid. While Rani said that one must go and catch the flick as it is a complete paisa vasool.

Glowing at the response that the flick garnered at the prestigious 'Toronto International Film Festival', Rani said, "It was unbelievable and overwhelming. Though I was not expecting it because it's a different atmosphere there and they don't really accept commercial films. But it truly felt like watching the film at a Delhi theatre."

Without missing out on the opportunity to appreciate Rani's talent and beauty, F(Sh)ahid insisted, "Rani is a hugely intelligent actor and has completely outdone herself in 'Dil Bole Hadippa'. With two of us together, people are surely going to enjoy a new experiment."

With their film all set to release this Friday, Shahid and Rani looked all charged up in their 'Hadippa' mode as they used the term umpteen number of times, declaring 'Hadippa' to be their favourite gesture of happiness. And that's not all, they even cajoled everyone present to repeat the term after them and experience its magic.

Haha we just talked about how people should link them together and they just did it themselves...

But this just means that they are not together... so there goes a lot of peoples hopes and wishes...

this 'haddipa' line is so corny and cheesy now...rani's really over doing it......shes been in the game for so long she should know no ones gonna go watch the movie just because she keeps reminding us its name...and its so annoying its starting to get on my last nerves...and why do i get the feeling shahids not as charged as rani is? i feel he doesnt have that many expectations from it...rani on the other hand needs a hit really bad and this is the only movie she has on hand whereas shahid has done fantastic work and this i think isnt gonna be one of his fantastics.

on dus ka dum rani kept saying hadippa it was so annoying. shahid din't said hadippa that much like rani did but it was cute at first but later it got annoying. salamn also said hadippa cuz rani kept saying it lol. nice publicity stunt for movie.

Even though I have doubts on this movie from an artistic perspective, I think box-office wise this movie should be a hit regardless of the U/A certificate and Sherlyn Chopra. Families will go see a movie if it is YRF. They trust that it will be okay for them. Just like how everyone and their grandma went to go see KANK because it is a Karan Johar movie at least at the theater I was at. The feedback from TIFF seems very positive for people wanting a frothy romantic comedy. Also, I have a feeling this movie will appeal to those, who might like a movie that has lines that appeal to the gallery, rather than the more recent releases, which have not been like that.

I get the same feeling with the whole mindless family entertainer. The only other film recently that tried to target the same audience was Life Partner. But this one is YRF and like Nimmi said people just go to watch their films because of the name.

They really have gone into promotion over kill this time, but the audience reviews seem positive.

True that, but I think overkill promotion works. The whole mystery angle that they have tried before hasn't. Luckily, I don't really watch television so I am not subjected to the ads too much.

Rani and Shahid look really cute together more so during the promotion events I have to say than in some of the footage from the songs.
