Ektaa's hit formula seems to be...
A cute love story.....later one of them gets married to a total stranger (usually the female lead)....she falls in love with her hubby ....then they become the lead pair...(obviously heroine ka pati hi hero hai 😆)....this lead becomes more popular than the original one......this new pair helps to gain more trps....then the show gets its highest trps...(Kayamath, KZK)
Another one is bride/groom swapping..... (Kasam se, Bandini)
Ektaa always prefer a love after marriage than getting love birds married.....HHHmmmmm she prefers arranged marriage... or rather accidental marriages.... 😆
But whatever be the case all these marriages have helped her gain popularity......
So definitely she still stick to her old formula...like not allowing Khiten to marry...If at all they marry thats too in the last episode.... (Kasturi, KTH)
So Sanraj will not divorce according to this formula..what say?

Now you are scaring me because Ekta's formulas always have a leap and I am so NOT ready to see a 70 year old DM even though he will look equally dashing. 😆

As regards Bandini the premise of the serial is this 'unusual' marraige so if they divorce the premise no long stays. Similarly, if he gives her the rightful place as his wife she will no longer be a Bandini but an 'Ardhangini". I really don't know where the are going with this one but I am ready to go with the flow so long as it remains reasonable for the most part.

I don't think it really matters - they will do whatevery Ekta maayi decides. The good part is that serials on NDTV Imagine do not drag on for long so hopefully the will wind up Bandini and end it rather than giving us some meaningless leap. Keeping finers crossed on this one.

I think showing love developing after marriage is more interesting that showing lovebirds getting married. I mean two well-matched people falling in love, getting married and then living happily ever after, whats interesting in that? But say two mismatched people who one would never imagine together, who might not even like each other, or maybe can't even stand the sight of each other, get married and then showing how they grow to like each other, respect each other, care for each other and then finally fall in love....so much more interesting and so much more drama. I think it makes for a much more interesting show, probably why Ekta uses it. I loved Milind-Prachi in Kayamath :) ...thought they were a much better pair than Neev-Prachi.

And I agree with soap-critic, so far Imagine hasn't really let any of it's shows drag or show unbelievable things like Ekta's soaps...once the show starts dragging or drops in TRPs, they just cancel it. None of the shows Imagine started with are on any more and some of them were very good shows. So, hopefully, they will end Bandini when it reaches it's logical conclusion without letting it drag endlessly with leaps and divorces/marriages and whatever else Ekta can come up with.

Me too love these mismatched people developing feelings for each other...like you said sg.... thats very much interesting than the usual love ending up in marriages....its a soothing effec to see these mismatched ones change themselves according to their partners without they themselves realize.... same is the case with DM. He is not realising that how much he and his thoughts have changed after Santu's entry into his life... First of all he has to realise hhis feelings that will be good for him...and then the feelings of Santu that she loves him not anyone else and she can accept noone other than him in her life..realise that Santu doesn't want anyone of her age to marry her...she can live on her own with her Maalik's sweet memories (though very rare ones) if he can live with Subhadra's memories....

Hehehehe I know I am watching on of her shows where she has tried this formula and the leap it has totally failed so badly its like no one likes the husband she has made him the nicest man in the world so doesn't work, LOL but then she still isn't changing the storyline. Plus now she has introduced so many new charaters the main leads seem like extra's its so annoying cause no one cares about the extra's LOL!
Ok about the leap factor that will only happen when there is a death it is a tried and test formula LOL so no worries for that happening yet.
Its ok having a 70 year old RR hehehe I think he was over a hundred in KZK when it ended with all the leaps and problems hehehe! You just ignore the age.
