Ria Ka Adda: Pyaar Mein SIRF Barbaadi!

Prologue:

adda se bhagiya shaadi karne ke liye. Anu is off exploring Montreal & Ottawa for the next few days. The two geniuses stupidly left me In-Charge. The rules are below ' read and observe!!

Here is what Ms. Kamra had to say on FB while conversing with her fans (us) today. Maybe it will provide some illumination:

Today's title reflects the fact that the "om pal" was not a turning point in the story that we had expected. I recognize that is something that upset most of u today

. It upset me too, so I waited until I gained perspective before opening today's very late adda. The convo with Kritica helped. Thank you for your patience. 🤗 Please read my second post for a more sane take on the epi.

The two Bakras are come down the stairs and are already for their balidaan .. i mean shaadi. And off they go to the races with their barati. The Bakris bah bah with each other on the phone while pondering if their not-so trusty steads will land them in manure or worse. 😆😆

Meanwhile back at the Mandap, Mental Bua is still tense wense ' worried about the Runaway Bride. The barat arrives for the barbadi and are greated by Assylum ka full Crew sans Heartless Papaji. But, they cover saying he's busy upstairs. Heartless Papa is really with the Police riding to baby's rescue from Ashleel Psycho's who is holding her hostage in Juhu.

1. Please morph yourselves into happy ya yappy people, but leave the cast alone. They only like being morphed by Nim Sood.

2. Use naughty words in context of thoroughly bashing ridiculous characters.

3. If you are going to engage in personal attacks then please pay me in "chaavanis" (adda currency). Also, use word "bakwaas", and let me know so i can buy popcorn. If *Shifali* scolds you then please share your dukhi dastaan, so I can point n laugh at you ... i mean share your pain.

"Abey Saley Yeh Kya Kardiya Tuhne"

If there is an Addian who has been waiting for the OM pal its me. As I read live updates, I was initially livid then sad. I knew it was a possibility that that she simply drops her OM...and he picks it up. But, I always wished for a truly poignant moment between the two. I wanted it to be tairav before jail. So, when it just caught in Arjun's hand and he kept it, I felt like shaking PB and screaming "Abey Saley Yeh Kya Kardiya Tuhne". But, then I realized that just like that long ago not-so-happening date, I had built up the "OM Pal" in my mind. Like K.S. ka love for Arohi I had built unrealistic sand castles in my head about the "OM Pal".

OM Matlaab?

The OM for Arjun has meaning because it is the only tangible nishani of his love that she has ' what she used to always wear. Its symbolic of how much he loves her that he still has it even after two years in jail. How he acquired is irrelevant compared to the significance of the fact that he still has it. Because it means whatever happened between them he still loves her. Once I started to think about it from Arjun's perspective, I realized for me the OM still has meaning ' just a different one than I had originally thought.

NOT DEVDAS - PAGAL DEWAANA

Karan Kundra today you were brilliant as Arjun Punj. Aptly conveying his daard, junoon, and desperation. He has absolute faith in Arohi's love. And is desperate to stop her "lies" and get her to admit the truth. Threatening her does not work because she turns it around on him and cleverly gives him to option to either let her go or kill her. Knowing full well that he cannot kill her ' hoping that he will let her go. So, he attempts to try what he thinks will surely break her wall of silence. And his tactic (self-harm) may have worked, but for HP and police ka intervention. His suicide threat might have just broken Arohi's wall of lies and silence. Her face at that point signals as much, but he didn't get the chance to test that tactic fully. Once the police arrives the situation then is completely out of his control. Yet, he is desperate so he tries to convince Bauji even going to the point of literally begging him. But, once again Arohi betrays him or does she?

Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai

How could Arohi do this? Be so heartless and ruthless? Have Arjun charged with kidnapping and threatening to kill her? Is she made of stone? These question troubled me until I saw the episode. Then I had an epiphany. What's Arohi's mission? For whatever unknown reason it is to alienate Arjun and marry Karan Singh, so she is forever out of Arjun's life and reach. Effectively forcing Arjun to "hate her" and move on. But, Arjun has to be alive for him to move on na? And before her Baba came he was threatening suicide. So, how can she ensure he remains safe and alive while she commits khudkhushi (marries Karan)? By telling the police that he kidnapped her and getting him arrested. She thinks he will be safe there. Wierd logic, but that what she seems to be doing... buying herself time to marry Karan. As for the charges, she can withdraw them later without any real harm to Arjun. I mean his reputation is already dhabba after all his encounters with the police. A dropped kidnapping charge is nothing compared to the attempt murder charge he has on his record for shooting K.S. As for her love, it is evident in the little things - she suggests that he kill her not that he kill himself. And while he's being beaten she is clenching her fists and holding on to the car desperately. That said KMH Team better come up with a SUPERFANTASTIC REASON WHY AROHI IS GOING TO THIS EXTENT TO MAKE ARJUN HATE HER? WHY? WHY? WHY?

The Dulhas

Abhay is happy about his shaadi and wanting to share that happiness with the two special people in his life (his boss and his dulhan). That scene for me was rather natural. I have done that a time or two. Attended noisy parties with friends and called and talked to them over the phone because it was too noisy or we were otherwise too far for the conversation to carry.

Zaalim Baba

Baba has no sympathy for Arjun and from his perspective he is sahi today. Arjun has kidnapped his little girl and when he comes along Arjun appeared to have his hand raised in a gesture that could be interpreted as him intending to hurt Arohi and not himself, so Baba's stance today was not completely unjustified. I mean would you hand your daughter to a seemingly reasonable person like K.S. or this ranting & raving fruitcake especially when your daughter has seemingly finally rediscovered reason?

To me it partially worked as the soothing lullaby that puts a restless baby to sleep....thank you kritzi....it did ease my tightened nerves...a lot lot more than the usual and repetative "Wait n Watch"....

..well, we know that already..don't we....the million dollar question however is what that can be !!...What can be so pressing that Arohi pushes Arjun up against the wall of insanity...leads him step by step such that he is convinced to hate her and really put an end to their saga..What the hell can that be !!

1) Arohi is Arjun's half sister?.......bro-sis marriage..uh oh...(theory by chullbuli)

2) DK told Arjun will die from first marriage...(i think Anjana's theory)..

3) DK/KS promised to ruin Sharma Clan if Arohi tried to marry Arjun

4) Arjun got married in childhood...so he has a balika-vadhu waiting somewhere...so no doosri shaadi

5) DK/KS promised to pay for HP"s cancer therapy (albeit secretly) if Arohi dumps arjun

6) Arohi is manglik (i guess mangliks have some kundali ka dosh..🤔..)

7) DK asked arohi to play hard-to-get as that'll increase pyar 😳

8) Arohi came to know she's bipolar and so doesn't want to ruin Arjun's life 😕

9) she is terminally ill 😭



.... okay i don't know....i don't want to anticipate when i'll know...coz frankly the episode drove me a li'l insane today morning...arohi's apparent intended non-chalance at arjun's plight disturbed me....the girl who once couldn't bear even a random old woman in trouble and could give up her singing competition sapna khushi khushi...is under such a compulsion that she's accusing her lover of kinapping and attempt to murder to get rid of him at that point, is desperate to move on away from Arjun even at the cost of driving him insane....i couldn;t relate AT ALL to that..

Its my fault that I'm failing to decipher how humongoues THE majboori is that she isn't responding to the numbness she's gifting arjun...

I dont know what Arohi is thinking "for" Arjun..i mean she thinks arjun will finally get over her? Like this? Move On?..to me whatever she has in mind..she already has ruined arjun's life....its for her Arjun is now a hyper situational psycho..he will also go and kill someone and rot in jail for a couple of years...i cannot understand what ulterior "good" that will do to anybody...what great purpose that will be served...

I'm sure the Extremely Creative Creatives have a grand plan up their sleeves, but I'm too naive and blunt to get it and too little patience to wait for it....really

When the Om slipped over to Arjun...i told what i felt to Anjana: it felt like Arohi's mother is also not approving of it...she gave arjun to her as a part of her wish to give arjun what he needed most....now that she's pushing arjun away, it felt a li'l symbolic as if her all-along companion Om is also leaving her saath

but that being said, that was NOT what i envisioned as THE MOMENT...

I was laughing like MAD however when the OM got exchanged.....THE OM MOMENT we have been "all eyes" for, ever since we spotted it as Arjun's wristband....How thick we are to have "escaped" the thought that it might just have "slipped" out of Arohi;s neck !! its AS SIMPLE AS THAT !!! we are complicated and excessively imaginative to have expected a "MOMENT" out of this....BITE US

When Arjun was pleading to HP as his last resort...ohhhh....the desperation..the last try to save his doomed fate was piercing....HELPLESSness at its best !! 😭

Before my lines I will like to say one line..today I lost..IT was not aarohi who insulted arjun,it was me whose trust was broken and shattered..sorry today all her deeds inspite pof love ..ya she loves him to that I stil stick on..but today u all can kill her and I will join in the first one to kill her or to harm her..god damit..u tested not only that guys patience and love but also his belief in his own love..ok u don't wanna tell the truth I humbly bow down and take ur decision..but that one line"haan isine mujhe kidnap kiya hai"…sorry I lost I completely lost…I don't know if ANJANA still has any reason for it..i would love to hear it out..and support her again..but for now..sorry I cant,I will not… TODAY I give all my love..from all my heart to ARJUN..tht one line shattred not only me him but him..it was so visible in that struggle he stopped when aarohi said that..MR.BHATT I would really like a solid explanation for this..u broke all my belief in AAROHI and I strongly want demand an explanation..its the first in 7 months of MY KMH viewing that I am ready to stand against a character..yes first time..even when ARJUN DID THAT ENGAGEMENT TO NATASHA FIASCO..i really didn't hate him..i still respected him and loved arjun all the more..but today sorry I cant justify AAROHIS any actions..she could feel arjuns pain,but not shout,agreed,she could not tell him the truth agreed but she could have just kept quiet instead of telling that he kidnapped her..god arjun was shattered it was so obvious ..

KRITHICA:MADAM,I hate aarohi ..but u..na I bow down really in respect..u had everything that AAROHI needed..love,despair,hatred,and biggest of all majboori on ur face,in ur eyes..

I know that sir and madam sounds weird but really they are too elder to me too call them by their names..ARJUN AND AAROHI I can u see they grow and shrink as I want them..but the actors don't do they..

After watching the episode, I could not think straight. I felt very angry at Arohi( naturally) but I decided that I needed to let off steam before I write my post because I didn't want it to be a blind attack on Arohi.

Sooo I found myself going to the one place that makes me forget all my sorrows...we call it Ria Ka Adda! I went to the last page and read something about Kritika's status then I went to Facebook and I read what everyone wrote and Kritika's response and thats when I realised that my anger was on impulse, just like Arjun shouting at Arohi that he will kill her but thats just out of fury and nothing else.

As the famous saying goes, 'do not judge a book by its cover'. I with a calmer mind realise that I should not spite Arohi, there is a grave reason she is doing all this and when its revealed, it will all fall in place...thinking about it calmly, I have every faith in Arohi and I don't want to be at a stage where when the truth is revealed, I repent all the harsh words I could have said today.

I also think it's unfair to be harsh on the creatives. Many of us are disappointed but why don't we look at the bigger picture...end of the day, no matter how painful these episodes have been to watch, they have been gripping and full of powerful performances nonetheless.

Yes, not everything portrayed is logical but overall, Kitani Mohabbat Hai has all the ingredients to make this show THE BEST and it is because of the creatives that we as an audience feel so passionate about the characters...it is the creatives who have planted these characters and the actors have bloomed in them.

From the spotboy to the director to the actor to the creatives, each and every person puts their blood and sweat into this show so that they can give you Kitani Mohabbat Hai without fail, five days a week. This is not an easy task. Many are still learning, they will fall and trip and we as audience, should be there to put our hand foward and help them up. Its not right to instead belittle them so that they are never able to get up again. I guess I don't believe in tough love.

Morale of the story: The glass is always half full not half empty!!

Moving on swiftly to the episode:

The entire wedding sequences were so utterly boring so I am not even going to bother!!

Back to the Garage:

Arjun's paagalpan reached to the highest peak of its limit, yet he really can not hurt Arohi and its true as he said, even she knows that.

It really hurts deep to see Arjun in the state that he was today...he did so much for her, gave up everything for him but in return all he got was heartache. I lost all my senses whilst watching Arjun in such a state, he was saying 'mein marjaaoounga' and I was actually feeling it. 😭

I have now made my peace with Arohi but whilst watching the episode, I was fuming at her! How can she watch him like this...why is she not putting an end to all of this. I was dying to hear her say those three magic words to him and was hoping that it would all be over but Arjun and Arohi's fate (read creatives) have other plans. I watch in anticipation.

Arjun grabs hold of Arohi and says 'marjaaoonga Arohi, marjaoonga par tumse door nahin jaoonga..I love you' (me weeping like a baby at this point) Arohi, unable to watch the pain in his eyes, turns away and...

Gone Moment Gone!

Hang on a minute..let me just rewind...'marjaoonga Arohi' (watching it second time and now wailing away) OK..I think I saw the OM Necklace on Arjun's wrist, I did!! I did see the OM Necklace on Arjun's wrist!!! Me completely baffled at this point!! Is that it? I hear my words echoing...IS THAT REALLY IT??!

I waited sooo long, all the adda pleaded many times to Prashant Bhatt and this is all we get...a second - the necklace magically getting caught on Arjun's dhaaga? And that too from behind the massive heavy necklace! If anything was likely to have got caught, it was that necklace or her earings or even the hair clip but OM!!!...Just like that, ek chutki mein OM moment is gone...no kasme waade, no ek dil ke liye duniya...

At this point, I really felt like those actors you see in fillums where they are dhoke se taken to a cliff and then when the actor least expects it, the villain pushes them off the cliff. I was that person today who was dhoke se pushed off the cliff.

I am greatly disappointed but I quickly got over this when I saw Arjun's state. Arjun!!..kaash you had threatened to kill yourself earlier..maybe we would have seen a better OM moment then!

Just as Manisha had predicted, Police come there and shoot in the air.

I pray to God that kisi ke bhi naseeb mein aisa baap na ho

HP is a lunatic. I hate this man with a passion. How dare you set your hands on my Arjun. At that moment, I really felt like beating him to death. 😡

When Arjun asks for maafi and peyr partaa hai, I just fell apart. My whole world just collapsed there and then seeing Arjun like that. He is willing to go to any extent for Arohi. Look at what she has made him into. She has driven him to insanity. I could not bear to watch him like this. Its been so painful that I really don't want to see this episode again, apart from the fact that I don't want to go through the mockery that has been made out of the OM moment.

I felt some trigger of emotions come alive in me again when I heard Arjun tell off that ******** (this is a swear word which I can not spell out due to IF rules but fill it in with the worse gaali you can think of). That ****** does not have a heart. He should rot in hell.

Arohi's ilzaam

So Arohi has sent him to jail and will ultimately be the reason Arjun is in jail and when she said to the police that Arjun kidnapped her and tried to kill her, a gaali automatically came out of my mouth.

I just could not believe my ears and eyes...gaalis coming out of my mouth but now that I am calm and collected, I feel that I was unfair on Arohi....she is doing this for a reason. She really cant live without Arjun and inside, she has probably died a thousand deaths.

We feel for Arjun more because we can see his pain, he has always been the expressive type whereas Arohi has always been the type who keeps her emotions locked away...andar hi andar, woh goot ke mar rahi hai.

So Why are we so angry at Arohi

Most of us can not comprehend with Arohi's behaviour. We can not see the logic in her actions but then I think had we known the reason of her behaviour beforehand then we would have sympathised with her rather than be angry at her.

For instance, had we did not known that Arjun was acting all along to hate Arohi (post accident), we too would have hated Arjun for treating Arohi in this way but because we already knew that he was just putting up an act infront of her, we loved Arjun for this.

Arohi is doing the same thing...she is just putting an act up infront of him but the only difference is that we, along with Arjun are kept in suspense, hence our natural instinct has been to despise her to a certain extent.

Final Verdict

Today's episode belongs to Karan and Kritika. Its not one that will be on repeat mode for me for three reasons...1) I cant watch Karan Kundra in such a state 2) Its a passable episode 3) OM did not live up to the expectations...gutted.

Manisha's prediction – a likely probability

Arjun will manage to escape and go to the mandap and kill Karan Singh.

Credibility

Karan Kundra – hands down steals the show today. I can never in my whole life forget Arjun Punj and this is all thanks to Karan. He is phenomenal! I hope he goes a long way because he is capable...Karan, you have created history! Kitani Mohabbat Hai owe you big time because you carry this show on your shoulders! I cant say this enough, you are THE BEST! I would love to see you share the screen with a personality like Mr Amitabh Bachchan because you would be able to match up to him so well!

Kritika Kamra – what can I say! I adore you! You played Arohi with such conviction that it has compelled many viewers to hate Arohi but this only shows how good of an actress you are! You are mind blowing and I really respect what you have achieved at such a young age. Hats off to you!👏

Mr Prashant Bhatt & Co – THANK YOU!!!! Thank you for giving us the most gripping story the television has ever seen. Thank you for Arjun & Arohi. From day one, we all knew that this will be a story of heartache...loving, LOSING, yet living and end of the day, you are living up to this. There are small glitches but then that is normal in the given scale of a television serial and these tiny glitches do not compare to all the memorable moments that you give us...even today, you have succeeded because you have moved the audience.

It is only because of the great work behind KMH that people live, breathe, eat, drink Kitani Mohabbat Hai!

I have to mention the ghori scene…I found it terribly hilarious…and kinda Brokebackish if you know what I mean…Abhay adores KS…nahi?? 😆 😆 😆 *khatarnaak smile* is he the bad guy??...about to turn into sad and then mad…then dead guy?? (indifference continues, but Kritika wants us to 'brainstorm' so me chipping in with my faaltu thought 😆) anyway…ghori scene…so they didn't play bhootni k??...I'm disappointed!! 😔 😆

Adda buddies were kinda surprised that Sur is oblivious to what's going on around her…I think it's justified…the bride to be is in her dressing room getting dolled up…she won't come out to check on things…and the family wouldn't want her to stress on her big day…they have a pressure cooker situation but people usually try to keep the lid on for as long as they can…so the pagal Sharmas…not so pagal for once…


I laughed at their choice of 'murder weapon'-screwdriver…ROFL…but what exactly can you find in a garage that's capable of killing a human being? Seriously…all you have are tools of the trade…there's the rod, there's a hammer, a screwdriver, a ratchet, pry bars, etc…I wouldn't expect them to discover butcher knives, and sledgehammers or guns…so whatever his choice of 'weapon' would've been it would've been equally insane…besides it was an insane moment…the chillum challi was unbearable for me but a lot of adda buddies have justified it…so…if insanity is justified…so is the insane weapon…


The 'OM' moment- it really hit us hard na? all of us had thought up of a romantic sequence…but what could she have said- 'Arjun I want to give you my OM as a symbol of our everlasting love…' haven't we heard that before? Or was she supposed to give it as a consolation prize? Or to protect him??... 'bhagwan tumhari raksha kare' kitni movies mein suna hai…theek hai this Om moment was very pheeka…but it kinda goes with their love story na, they met in the train…mil ker bhi na milna…they met near the bridge…again mil ker bhi na milna…they met at the Punj house during the Antra accident fiasco…mil ker bhi na milna…they kept going in opposite directions but something kept bringing them together…the night Arohi goes to the wishing well to make a wish…she's standing at her window wondering 'kon dey ga mera iss safar mein saath?'…the wind flips open a magazine to a page and we see the name 'Arjun Punj'…that's fate…that's filmi and that's crap…we kept watching 8 months after that…so why is the Om moment any different? For me it was like 'bhagwan ki marzi'…you know it's like God wanted him to have her most precious possession…something she would never have given in him these circumstances cos she's concealing her love…Arjun on the other hand firmly believes they're made for one another…the Om accidentally coming into his hand is like a signal from above…because the Om is part of Arohi's identity, we can't imagine Arohi sans Om the same way we can't imagine Arohi sans Arjun…so it's like the cross multiplication we do in math…😆 😆 😆 and isn't it just perfect? He's kept that Om right where it stuck (into the threads he wears in his hand) for two and a half years…isn't that romantic??


Arohi doesn't miss her Om cos she's going through a lot!!...she's got so many things on her mind that she doesn't know the Om has gone missing…he clutches it…isn't that romantic??...isn't that equals to saying 'I'll never let go'??...


Anyway…lemme do a jig…I predicted a 'Freaky Friday'…it was freaky for sure…😆 and I'd predicted the police & HP will crash in and think he's trying to kill her…it happened!! 😃
PB not a good sign for you, when unimaginative morons like me can guess what'll happen next…it translates into thakeli creativity for the likes of you…I keep stressing you can do better than this cos you have done better than this…please…buy time if you want to…but come with a rock solid reason to justify Arohi's pagalpan…

Kritika Kamra: the actor who's comparable to wine is back…(sorry don't have a lot of nayi nayi compliments 😳) you were so-so last week and kinda boring when this week started, made me put you in the third category of pagals (the unfortunate one's who have pagalpan thrust upon them) but you're good…you're so good…and yea, you conveyed it quite brilliantly, no distortions no nada…well done…

Karan Kundra: CHILLUM CHILLI CONTINUES…but I have to admit, you were terrific minus the woofer effect…really you've blossomed as an actor…and please…don't you ever run out of gel…gel jaata hai you start looking like a criminal…😆

Virendra Saxena: you're a pro…but the pro was maha-pro for me today…mera HP hate-o-meter full on…but VS is a powerhouse performer…

The rest were okay…

Episode rating: 8/10- strictly for the three actors I've mentioned above…

Coming up: we're through with om shanti om…Arjun goes to jail…Arohi goes where?? To the mandap?? I know she won't get married…but how?? And whodunnit??

Yaaro…it's a BT serial…why should it be any different? There's a point after which we need to 'stop' looking for sanity…99% of the stuff done in BT world cannot be justified then why try and find logic in KMH?? this story is still better than the other crap aired on TV…the best thing being it's pace…trust me, had this been Jyoti we would've been seeing Arjun & Nuts ki (non)engagement abhi…I don't watch anything other than KMH regularly so I can't come up with dozens of examples…but those of us who do will agree that KMH is better than the rest…

It's a BT show, we need to stop looking for sanity in it… most of the stuff cannot be justified and is intolerable…my advice is to leave your brains somewhere safe where stuff from the idiot box cannot contaminate it…but DO, DO watch it cos
1. hey, we need entertainment don't we?? And that is one thing that's guaranteed when you watch KMH…
2. great acting (probably the best in Tellywood)
3. great pace…they don't drag stuff
4. good lines occasionally
5. etc.!!
don't watch if:
1. you're terribly fashion conscious
2. have sensitive ears- the BG is horrible
3. you're looking for sanity and expect them to remember their math, dates, ages etc
There are more reasons to watch then not to watch, I'm an honest campaigner 😉 😆 so I've painstakingly written out the pros and cons…I ❤️ pagalpan so I'll watch it come rain come snow…

i am a bit down today...i dont know why...there are multiple reasons i know but too much to be collectively put forth...but whatever it is..i dont really buy THIS form of love...i agree with you aditi...i love living a dreamy stupid yet simple life and I'd firmly like to believe this is what love is to me...it never can hurt my love at the cost of ANYTHING....i'm sure if a situation arises, I can find some other way out...
