I personally think that manjusha is totally guilty. Firstly, before marrying to vinod, she promised that she will like his family like hers. Secondly, she never does anything at home. Forget about housework, did she ever take time to care for her daughter? NO! When Archu's arrangment was broken, manjusha's family( her mom & bro) gave a party. She lied to Vinod's family saying that her mom isnt feeling well and went to attend the party. Vinod finally realizes this and breaks up with her and tells her to stay with her mom itself. Punni starts to miss her mom, then Archu tells sulochana to bring back manjusha. In other words, no matter what happened, Archu cared for everyone regardless of what family members thought about it ( Varsa blaming sulochana and then this manjusha & her family). Archu took care of Punni as her own daughter.. but manjusha had been greedish & foolish and instead of being grateful for having such a good in-laws, she regrets it.

I totally disagree with what you've said...Manju's concern was not for her daughter's future like she said....she said all that just to cover up her reason for making all this mess. She does not care for Vinod's family...

Budgeting is one thing, but she does not care for Archu after all that that girl has done for her. Manju does not do anything for her daughter. If Vinod wanted to buy this jewellery for her, she would not have any problems. She would be very happy...and she is not the wife who shares in her hubby's or his family's happiness coz she never considered this family as hers. All she does is think of herself and her money. She doesnt give in anything for Vinod's family.

And you should remember that she was the one who told lies to Savita to get her to agree to this wedding. She didnt want anything good for Archu, but the opposite.

Had Manju actually done it thinking of Punni, may be i wouldnt have blamed her but thats not the case. Manju did it for she had issue's with Archana, as she thinks its archu b'coz of whom her bro's life has been spoilt.

So i dont think she had done it with the purpose of Punni's future

Hi,

I think Munju is at fault. If your husband gave you the money to buy a gold set for his sister then she should have done it or said something to him at that time. Also Punni is so litte and there is plenty of time to buy for her. It is totally Munju's fault.

Manju is at fault. THe decision should have been discussed and agreed by both of them for the gift but what she did was wrong. She purposely created problems for herself and vinod and archana.

Manju is at fault. Do not forget the fact that she participated willingly in her mother's evil plans and helped her to get vengence against her own inlaws... Its very clear that she has no regards for Vinod's family. Her character is shown like that... so Vinod is completely right in being angry and upset with her...

I think that Manju is awful, she is only worried about herself, she wants her in - laws and all her sister in laws to suffer, she never learns from her lesson she just does drama. If you husband says this is what I want to do, you object then you don't steal the money and put it aside and buy something cheaper that is dishonest on so many levels.

I agree with the posts about Manju lying and saying she was worried about her daughter, this was more about her trying to excuse what she did. Manju has shown her dark side, breaking Archu's first marriage then causing trouble in her second. Manju has been shown to be ungrateful to Vinod's family despite everything they've done for her. She's lucky they were so forgiving towards her when they learned about what she did the first time, even now they are nice to her after learning what she did. It's rare to find in laws like Manju has and she takes advantage of them.

Vinod had a right to be hurt and angry, he knows how hard Archana has worked for her family and just wanted to gift her something special on her wedding day. I think what bothered Vinod even more was the fear of what Archana would go through since Savita found out about the fake jewellery.
