As usual, you leave me speechless with your wondrous weaving of emotions, textures, insights... I love your little magical moments that make things come real, like when you describe how prachi was trying to protect herself and was "silently reciting an incomprehensible mantra of assurance." It's not just what you write, but it's also what you hint at, the details you refuse to give us and make us wonder and imagine..
The first scene of them in the terrace is mind-blowing. You know, I never understood much about karva chauth.. always thought it was a bit dramatic and pointless, and I hate KC scenes in TV serials, but in your writing, in the way you describe Prachi waiting for him, the song and its lines (BTW what song is it yaar? the one soumya plays?) it kind of made me "get" it, get the appeal of why a woman would do that ritual for someone, and what that kind of love could be.
Milind's struggle to control himself and sort of self-deception about how he feels about her is also brilliantly described in that scene. Especially that line where you write.. with an aim of retiring to his room, he wasn't sure why he had ended up in the terrace. It's so touching, that kind of incomprehensible way we do things when in love na..
PLEASE continue yaar.. you know they might close this forum soon na, please at least write an ending? Or at least give us one or two more vignettes in your style...?
love,
