Heeba Shah to reprise aunt's role

The daadisaa of Balika Vadhu will now be seen as a younger Kalyani in her happy-go-lucky days, so audiences and her on-screen family members will come to know more about her past.

Actress Heeba Shah, daughter of veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, will be seen in the role of the young widowed matriarch.

The older Kalyani, fondly known as daadisaa who controls the entire household, is played by Surekha Sikri, who happens to be Heeba's aunt. Heeba told the press, 'Yes, I am doing a TV show after a long time. The only reason I agreed to play the younger version is because it's my aunt's role in the show.'

The show's creative head, tells us, "It will be interesting for viewers to see a young daadisa and find out what made Kalyani the way she is. She will be shown in a flashback; the older Kalyani will continue on the show like before."

Heeba's entry as the younger Kalyani will take place in this Friday's episode and will continue next week as well.

wow yaar this is really intresting... we always heard from badi masi that kalyani was not like this before..she is very jolly person.. bt the time and work and society make her this... chlo now we get to knw what make her so strict....

it looks like they found the right person to play the part... She'll have to be the opposite of dadisa.. so I'm sure this girl will do just fine... :-)
