Hello Twilighters! 😛

Just by the title, you can tell what im asking. Twilight Saga is a series of fiction, love and romance, a lil' thriller as well. There's more love and romance in the entire saga and its just not like an everyday crush or whatsoever. It's about true love.

Breaking Dawn is much more than just love if you have read it.

Being a 17 year old reader, it really disturbs me when I see KIDS, around the age of 10-13 reading the books. I was shocked to see a primary 5 year old girl (primary 5 is like around 9-10 years old) reading Breaking Dawn 😳 Times have changed - true, but don't you think its a lil' too much? o.O

I am not saying to deprive lil' children from reading books, but its disturbing when they read such books. Stephanie Meyer mentioned herself the books are meant for young adults, then why the heck do I see the entire Saga in any of the book stores under the CHILDREN'S section? -______-

According to you, which age group do you think is the Twilight Saga meant for?

For me, it should be from 14-20++

I know a few members here who are young, have basically read the entire series. I'm not indirectly blaming you, but I would def like to know your views on this 😳

alrighty, years 9-10 for breaking dawn IS shocking. 😳

I am 19, so obviously I wasn't disturbed by the content of breaking dawn.😆 I've unintentionally come across worse content in TEEN books which i really think should be for Adults. However, Breaking Dawn, I believe, should be for Teenagers. When I say Teenagers, I'm thinking 14+. 🤔

I guess saying High School Students and up would be the age group that this Saga should be focused towards.😛

Firstly, nice topic girl. I too myself find it lil strange to see or hear about children hardly, 9-11yrs reading Breaking Dawn......Its def a shocking news. I know time is changed now, but still its a weird thing.

I'm 17, so according to me, this book should be read by teenagers, 14+. My lil sis, she is 12, sometimes do ask me whats the story of Breaking Dawn, she hates reading books, so every time when she saw me reading any book she does ask that. Well I just can't say her No so I do tell her few points, though skipping so many things. So I think its better for 14+.....

Yeah the whole saga has loads of love and romance.In my school ,class 5th children have read the whole series...they must be around 9-10..Its disgusting...yeah the story revolves around two passionate lovers..buh BD is not suitable for children...it has sort of vulgar content...i mean such books should be kept in adults section and not children's.

Don't you think kids are seeing things way worser on T.V? If we are talking about the movie Breaking Dawn then PGness should be taken under consideration if they are hoping to make a good movie.

I would say Breaking Dawn was tastefully written so I dont see a problem if 10/13 age groups are reading it. They never go into full graphic detail!

I think some are being a bit cautious about it which isn't really necessary. These kids know more than most did when I was that age and at least it's written so that they are married and they were in a relationship for what 3yrs anyway before anything like that happened. Infact it was a stipulation on Edward's art that they were married first.Yes you feel the sexual tension there but never does Stephanie promotes pre-maritial relationships that goes on without books promoting the natural teenage feelings and Edward displays nothing but RESPECT for that situation throughout the whole series.

The content in the 1st 3 books are fine for 10-12 year olds because TV shows even worse stuff but Breaking Dawn is more of a teenage audience..

I completely agree.

Stephenie wouldn't choose to cross the boundries by elaborating on the whole sexual tension between Bella and Edward just to captivate her readers all around the world. I mean it's obviously better than seeing 9-10 year olds going into the cinema to watch BD.
True, time's changed.... I live in UK and kids at the age of 9-10 are being educated with sexual reporduction. It's not compulsory as the parents have to give their consent first, but I think most parents allow this as they might want their kids to be more alert?

Um yeah i hate it when i see people younger than 12 reading it, i mean so not their age and breaking dawn :| but i'm 13 and i've read it so i think its ok for us cos yeah😆 but when my cousin said that her friend who is 10 read the saga i actualy got quite mad to be honest 😳😆 but the films age restriction was 12 so that was good lol

However, I think Twilight is suitable for 14+

I've not seen it in children's section, only in teenage section

I was 16 when I read it, and it was much less explicit then books like Noughts and Crosses which 12-year-olds read

I think it's mostly meant for teenagers..i started reading Twilight only when in May..n i was 13.5 den...but then some kids do read it..!.but i think most of em have'nt read BD..so i think its fine..!
