Education is imp for the materialistic aspects in a marriage....but i think where the real essence of marriage is concerned its not really imp to be educated ....as probably when people were not so well educated or even hardly educated the success rate of marriages was very high and now with everyone so high on edu ...marriages dont tend to survive ......

Education is not important entirely for materialistic reasons...
An educated girl will be able to understand an educated guy at a higher level. It matters a lot that both of them have same intellectual level. Whatever it is an uneducated girl and an MBA/ engineer guy will be intellectually so far away from each other and will not be able to understand each other.
This will create further differences between them..
I think its not wrong to wish for a bride of same status whether it be education or beauty or finance...or to refuse for a proposal if it lacks in these things

Education is a good thing and definitely important
But I wouldn't say it's a requirement
More important is someone's personality
And without education they can still get a job
