Part Two: First sight.
My mother parked the car outside the airport. It was raining, which was very unexpected in Northern California. I was wearing his black hoodie. I had it tightly wrapped around me. I could feel his presence and i told myself this continually.
"Ashi," My mother starts off. I pull the hoodie sleeves down trying to hide my hands. " Mumum, please don't misunderstand us. We just want you to be happy"
"I'm fine mama" I'd lied. I'd been saying this for the last of thousands times. I couldn't be selfish and tell the truth. Mama and dad are not coming to London yet. Dad, He got held back with work. He was ready to push that all to aside if I hadn't insisted. I didn't want him to sacrifice anymore for me. He was also relieved to know Tia is in London right now. I guess knowing someone is there to take care of me, is also a reason he is letting me go so easily.
"We'll see you soon sweetheart" She hugged me tightly for few minutes, and then I left. I turned around and found her at the same spot. I smiled and waved good- bye, and then I got into the plane. I looked out towards the clouds from the window, his memories started flooding back. I wrap my arms around myself and whisper his name. I smiled to myself recalling our first meeting. I never realized at that time, that psycho would mean so much to me later.
---1 year and 2 weeks ago.
I walk out of the crowd, grining to myself hearing my name being cheered again and again.
"Ashi" Mp? I turn around and smile warmly. I never thought she could make it. I thought her mom still had her locked up in her room. Mrs. D' Costa got this allergy to street dancing. I don't understand why? She really needs to see her daughter dance. She will be amazed. I have even advised her thousand times to watch Step up 2. She never agreed. Well knowing MP, she had no chance in eloping; her mom must of her allowed her out. Jolly good. She finally took my advice! I told myself.
"Dude! You were awesome. Those were the best moves I've seen" I pretended like I didn't understand where she was coming for. She playfully slaps my shoulder. She quietly laughs. I realized something was wrong. MP and not laughing out loud. Something must have happened. I repeated to my self. Could this relate to Varun? I don't see him around. He told me he was coming.
"Where's Varun?" I asked, looking around the crowd searching for him. I shift my eyes back to MP to only find her glum face.
"We broke up yesterday" She shrugs.
"You broke up and you're telling me now? What's with you girl?" I could not digest this information. I mean, they were sweethearts since childhood. The whole breaking up news, it doesn't make sense.
"He's got some serious issues. I'm not at fault. He was blaming me for every little thing. And puede usted creerlo, l me descarg (Can you believe it, he dumped me) " She was close to tears. I press my lips together thinking before favouring Varun.
"MP, usted sabe c**to l le ama (you know how much he loves you).." Why is she frowning. She knows I'm speaking the truth. " Look, im sure something must be bothering him. This is not like Varun. Ninguna manera (No way)" I added.
I took my phone out to check the time. OH FISH! It was 11:30 pm. Dad is going to kill me! The only reason he allowed me to do street dancing was to be home by 10. I shift my eyes down and find 10 messages from Tia.
"MP I got to leave, I will see you tomorrow" I dashed to the exist only to bump into someone. I lifted my head up and found a mysterious person standing in front of me. His sent, it was so strong. I couldn't see his face. It was hidden in the hood. I could feel his intense gaze. It was strong and gives me the shivers.
"Sorry" He muttered and walks past me. I stood there for a while. I felt my phone beep. I checked it. It was a text from Ranveer.
"Im waiting outside. Hurry" I smiled and thanked Tia for sending him. I ran out, hoping to find Ranveer quick. It was pitch back. I hardly spotted any cars. I turned around only to go slamming into someone. I thought it was him. I threw my arms around him.
"Ranveer-" I froze. His cold fingers wrapped around shoulder. I sensed a strong sent. It smelt familiar to the guy I bumped into few minutes ago. This wasn't Ranveer. I jerked his hands away and looked up.
"Ashi" Before I had a chance to say something, I heard Ranveer voice. I looked back and found him waving. I turned around.
"Agradable encontrndole (Nice meeting you)" I stopped.
"Wish, I could say the same" I walked towards the car and then I was gone but he was still there.
I cursed myself in the car for leaving MP on her own in the time when she needs me. I dropped my eyes and gazed at my phone for few seconds. Should I phone him? I took a deep breath and dialled his number.
"She needs you" I quickly say. I hear him mutter, sure she does.
"Varun, do I ever lie to you. She loves you dude! Why cant you talk out everything like you use to" My last line sticks in his head, I smile hearing him stammer.
"I-I miss her"
"Then go see her dude! She is where you were suppose to meet me today" I laugh as he cuts the call in a rush. He must be spiriting right now I told myself. I look over at Ranveer who stops the car. I raise an eyebrow.
"Where's here" He grins.
"Thanks Ranveer, god knows what I would do without you and timbo" He formally kisses me on the cheek.
"What are friends for?" I nod my head slightly. I get out the car and wave him good-bye. I take a deep breath and walk towards my house. I pull my self on the tree that leads to my room window and climb my way up. I knock on the window waiting for Tia to open it and then I was inside my room.
"You are so lucky; ma and papa are out right now. They will be arriving in 10 minutes," I laugh. I could tell from the tone of her voice she would of got a panic attack if I hadn't arrived. I wrap my arms around her and calm her down. I thank her for sending Ranveer after I let go.
"Anything for my punk sister.." We smile together. I never thought we would ever share a sister bond. It was very unbelievable. I guess we just needed to clear our differences. Now, I can't imagine my life with out my Timbo sister. Vice versa. "I'll get you something to eat, you must be hungry" She taps her cheeks.
"VERY" I hold my stomach and she rushed out the room. I grin. I walk towards my window and stare at the moon. Full moon today I told myself. You never get to see this very often. I smile warmly to myself and look around through the glass. I blink seeing a finger in our front yard. Who could this be? He was leaning on a car. I swear he was looking my way. His head was up in my direction. I swing the window wide open.
"OYE" I scream. I see him walk off.
"What happened" I turn around and find a blank Tia.
"There was someone in our front yard"
I shouldn't of mentioned this to her. She froze on her spot. I walk towards her, take the bowl from her hand, and place it on the table. I shake her slightly trying to achieve her attention. I look ahead hearing Mama's voice. I shake her again. I sigh a breath of relief. Finally.
"Lets go down, Mama and dad are home"
--- 2 days later.
BEEP BEEP! I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket.
"Ugh, turn it of" I complain.
"Ashi, get up" I hear Ranveer's voice. I forcibly open my eyes and glance over at him. I half glare at him as he nudges my arm.
"Can you not" I drop my head in my arms.
"ASHI?? GET UP!" I look ahead and saw my Spanish teacher frowning in front of me. I pull myself up. I scan the room. Everyone's eyes were on me. Ugh! I shift my eyes back at my teacher.
"Sir apesadumbrado (sorry sir)". I quickly say. He ignores my apology and walks off like always. I don't plan to fall asleep in his lesson. I'm actually not at fault; it's the school timetable that has to have Spanish on Monday mornings when everyone's brains are gone on holiday leaving us, the human's dead. I don't mind Spanish to be honest. It's an all right subject; I'm actually really good at surprisingly. I look over at the clock. This day is going to drag I told myself.
When the Spanish class was finally done. I make my way to art. It was a long walk. The building was basically on the other side of the school. I frown hearing the bell. I dashed to the door only to bump into someone. I clutch on their shoulder trying to balance my body. I jerked their hands away feeling cold fingers on my shoulder. They were ice-cold. I lifted my head feeling an arms wrap around my waist before my body touched the ground. I stared into his blazing eyes. They had a light shade of hazel in them. They were so beautiful. I dropped my eyes down and explored his flawless features. He's gorgeous. I sighed smelling his strong cologne. It seemed familiar. I stood there gazing at him, not wanting to let go. I felt shivered feelings his fingers intertwined with mine as he brought me up.
