What makes a great film according to you?

I think to me a good film dictates a very good and tight script ....a good direction is must ..but i have seen many times the same director couldn't hold my interest because somewhere in the middle the script fell flat ...or editing table mein "kaichi' thik se nahi chali 😆...

Sometimes the last few mins of the film make extra special ..one such film was Beautiful Mind..while watching the whole movie i was so baffled and was wondering what was the purpose of this movie getting an oscar and then those last few mins ...and all the puzzles that were in my mind came together and I got the contentment of eating the last bite of that coffee lovers' icecream with almonds😛 😆 ....

So I think when the story is told simply,,,, crisp editing ....coupled with good direction and ends with that "after affect"...that movie wins my heart ...chahe woh romantic ho , war picture ho ya rib tickling funny 😃

Good film is like something the audience will lap up right away... thought amar akbar anthony and departed are both good films.. its the audience , the right then audience who makes it a hit... i am sure.. if a new generation is shown AAA they will be bored to death....😛

😆 ya i second wth ur thoughts.....In hind most of the films basic story is same, hero,heroine,villan, bichadana, ek hona....Same story we can discribe different way ,dfferent situation,n different pattern....Actuly people dont like sad endng....very rare we saw a sad ending hit film ....now a days everybody want somethng to entertain, masala n 2hr fun...😊
