Given all the bitterness between KK & Padma over Jyoti, Sudha & Sushma, is it time for KK to finally pull the plug on this 'marriage'?
After all, he's always tense about how Sudha is going to be treated by Padma, even though now, she doesn't dare do a thing out of fear of his wrath. And there is the inappropriateness of Padma doing things like participating in the welcoming of Jyoti & Pankaj, and potentially, in future, she being the bridal mother whenever Sudha gets married. For my part, I can't stand the thought of her being there at Sudha's wedding.
And now, Deepu is about to discover that Sushma dances in hotels for a living, and maybe even discovers in the process that Brij is actually pimping her. So Padma is going to want to take Sushma back, and for KK, that would mean that in future, he'd have to lose Sudha (to marriage) while get Sushma (from 'marriage'). He cannot be a happy camper after that.
So is it time he calls it a day and ends this farce of a marriage? Or is he morally obligated to put the family 'izzat' above all else, never mind what Padma & Sushma have done to it?
P.S. Personally, after seeing last night's episode today of the story of how Kalpana's father drifted away, I'd like the story to twist such that KK divorces Padma and marries Kalpana's mom, and moves in there w/ Sudha (and it's time for Dadi to go back to her gaon). Transfer the house in his name to Deepu's (I'm sure Padma would be thrilled), divorce Padma and leave that house, marry Kalpana's mom and take Sudha & move in w/ her, and put Sudha under the care of Kalpana, so that she can observe and keep a lid on Devika, and help Sudha recover, once she knows about her double life.
That way, when it is time for Sudha to marry, Kalpana and her mom play the same roles that they did in Jyoti's wedding, except that this time, it's for real, and there is no more ugly scenes of Sudha & Padma. Also, Padma can live peacefully (I guess Deepu deserves the choice of which parent he wants to live w/) particularly after Sushma returns, and neither of them get to 'grace' Sudha's marriage.
I hope the creatives weave this into the story.
