Hey guys! I was wondering if someone could explain the history behind the Khalistan movement and is it true that Punjab was screwed over to India? I am not sure and would like to learn more of this!

So, Khalistan VS Indian Punjab

People here may have a bias.

Why don't you look it up on google? There are tons of sites and videos if you're interested.

[Flag of Khalistan]
Interesting I did not know it either. Above is a Khalistan flag based on some descriptions.
Anyway history and politics are very complicated and controvertial. Everyone wants to rule each other more for personal gains.
I believe most Asian countries need very strong governmental control generally.

i dont know a lot about it, but there are TOINS of controversies about it here in america/canada....there are people who are trying to separate punjab up to make a new place just for sikhs.

i also heard that it is more of a controversy here in america/canada than it is in india.
one of the gurdwaras in the area i live are always like promoting khalistan and got these flags up and stuff.

im also very interested in knowing the history behind it...i'll do some research on google and update info here :)
