Haila!!! Another one on chahat..😆

This was a really sweet one shot shabz...The bacchas of the show are really sweet aren't they?? Aww I luved the interaction between ketan and chahat..it was really touching to see ketans emotions..Lol...

Haha..Tannu is really funny..Gosh theses things don't happen in CANATTA...

Shabz this baccha party was amazing...Can't i join them?? 😉

The whole part with Preet getting them all to India and him bringing the kids to play with chahat? Sho shweet! 😳😃 Him and Gungan sound fab! 😳 You need to write more with them! 😳 The little bit about Ketan being touched that Chahat called him bhaiyya it's cute!😳 And oh yes...the bit with Tannu...was awesome! 😛Hmm more with kids? Erm - maybe, I think it's hard to find concepts for them - but then again, I don't know why I'm telling you - queen of concepts!

Peanut Butter

Preet walked down the hall, looking for his brother. 'Middle-class, my foot.' he thought. Looking around, he took in the tastefully decorated house which gave him some reassurance that his bhabhi had coped for the past six years.

A collision took place somewhere around his legs.

He looked down to see Chahat, her bangs hiding her brown eyes, looking up at him, hands crossed in front of her, but her lips quivering.

"Chachu! Look what you did!"

Now Preet wasn't used to being spoken to like that. He squatted down until he was at her eye level.

"I didn't do anything. You came into my way."

Chahat stuck her arm out, to flaunt the scratch that now decorated her tiny arm.

"See what you did!"

Waving an arm, Preet dismissed it. "It's just a scratch."

Chahat's eyes took on another shade. "I'll tell Papa."

Preet narrowed his eyes. "You wouldn't"

The young girl cocked her head to the side, and stuck her hip out. "Watch me."

Preet contemplated her, and decided he would have to bruise his ego and admit his fault otherwise his brother would shred him into pieces. He held up his hands.

"OK, fine, it was my fault, I should have watched where I was going. Sorry?"

Chahat's grin widened and Preet knew he was not off the hook yet. Sighing, he got down onto his knees and held his ears.

"Sorry Chahat."

She snapped her fingers. "That' s more like it!"

Preet grinned down at her as she helped him up and took his hand into hers. "Now, make me a snack!"

He looked down at her, his eyebrows raised. Sighing, Chahat realized it was time to push past her ego.

"Please?"

He swung her hand in his. "Now that's more like it! Come, I'll make something. As long as it's not with peanut butter."

Struggling to keep in pace with her uncle, Chahat questioned this condition.

"Why?"

"Because I'm allergic to peanut butter."

"What's allergic?"

Preet looked down at her, surprised at her question.

"Allergic? Hmm....good question. It means if I get any where near to peanut butter, or even smell it, my body turns red all over, I get itchy and it gets difficult to breath."

Chahat contemplated this. "Like how Kiran Uncle gets when Kulraj Bua gets mad at him?"

Preet chuckled. "Kinda like that."

Reaching the kitchen, Preet set Chahat on the kitchen counter and busied himself with trying to find something to eat. As he was rummaging through the cupboards, Chahat asked him another question.

"So you are scared of peanut butter?"

Preet hit his head on the top of the cupboard.

"What?!"

"Being allergic, it's like being scared right? You are scared of peanut butter?"

Confused, Preet tried to clear the air. He didn't exactly understand what Chahat was getting at, all he understood was that she was under the impression he was scared of something. Which was completely not true.

"No Chahat, I mean...being allergic...it's not....what?"

Seizing the opportunity, Chahat bounded off the counter, and ran out of the kitchen, singing.

"Chachu's scared of peanut butter, Chachu's scared of peanut butter!"

Preet's eyes narrowed. If this got around the house, he would never be able to look Meher in the eye again. Even if it was not true. He was not scared of peanut butter.

Thanks for taking the challange! 🤗 Inspiration goes to the show Kings of Queens, which BD had mentioned, and then voila, that night it was coming on, so I watched it, and there was a scene between the babysitter and his charge, so wrote this when I got a spare miniute. I noticed there is a lot more dialouge then I usually include, but I was practising for...something. 😆 And this is only my 18th shot. 😳 Goal: Get to at least 25 by end of Auguest.
