perhaps shes very career driven and doesnt want to give it up JUST YET because this is the best phase of her career, suprisingly enough it comes after marriage lol 😉

i think society and its norms can go get stuffed...

i can't believe attitudes of some posters talking about freezing eggs, LOL we are talking about a 35 yo woman, Ash has many years left before she has to worry about freezing eggs.. we are living in 21st century, many women are having babies much later in life and are not following society's norms and set of rules.. when you are ready for babies and marriage, you do it and not because you're supposed to.. but i am sure they are just using it as an excuse to make a snide comment about her so called "old age" <mega eyes roll>

and we have male actors who are bachelors in their 40's but no one talks about them going to a sperm bank to have their little tadpoles frozen..

trying to conceive babies is an emotional and traumatizing experience? ooooooer maybe for prudes but the whole thing sounds like so much fun to me..

u say socities norms can go stuffed but then in the same breath you find it laughable to freeze eggs at the age of 35, because its not a norm in 'our' society. yes, women are having babies much later in life but theyre not naturally conceived. her eggs are aging with her and thats a FACT, and sorry to let u know, males dno't see a decrease in their sperm, regardless of their age, they're very well capable of impregnating a woman even at the age of 70+.

and please, don't interpret my comments for anything but what has been written, because im not implying ANYTHING youre suggesting 'old age' i would never consider a woman at the age of 35 old, far from it. 40 is the new 20! lol but what is a reality, is a reality.

heck if she wants to work she wants to work, if she decides to get a surrogate mother to have her babies, that is cool as well even if some people will lose their sleep over it

Why it is always women blamed for old age, egg freezing and all that.

Are people not aware that old age, continuous smoking, drinking also lead to less sperm count which is many times the reason fro women not concieving. The sperm counts goes down with age. So better all the old actors go to cold storage to freeze them....

Despite not being her fan I respect her for her dignity and she must have done something right that half of the world is jealous of her.....

I think the psoitive thing that Ash has is she did not take a sabbatical. A very wise decison on her part. Similarly like Kajol As got marreid at the time she was on top while the other actresses had started giving flops and people thought it was time they get married and settle down.

As with any other career being continuously in the machinery is always a plus and returning to work after kids is difficult. I had faced the same situation. I had to work and prove to be again in the construction management. I had a gap of 5 years in my resume.

Thats why I feel that motherhood will not bring a lot of difference in Ash's career. But as clever as she is there must be other things planned - maybe a TV show or some company.

madhuri left when she was at peak too... don't forget she had dil to paagal hai and pukaar when she left... she had some flops too, yes, but she always had them earlier too... (same to many other actresses and actors) obviously, she chose to leave because she already got married pretty late as it is...!

well said, plasticpolaroid... especially the last line... why don't the actors quit when they reach their so-called 'full potential'....? give chance to a few of these newcomers, ehhh.... even they don't do college roles, etc..... 😕

that is also true, lovanika... but ash has yet few more years where she can conceive naturally.... besides, i doubt it'll be a hassle for her... she has the best health care available, as i already said earlier... as it is, after 35, there are chances of having a high risk pregnancy... so that really does not matter if they have the kids now or a few years later...!.

Ency, i have no wishes to elaborate on my point....!! because then that would be considered picking on posts, which i really do not want to do, as i said in my earlier post... i don't wish to be rude here... but i think people are well aware that ash hardly gets credit when it's due to her....!!! 😛
