why are woman expected to be more loyal than men? i don't understand that 😕
Woman and men are supposed to be equal, right? so then why this?

indiaforums1234 - I'm not sure what you mean as" biological factors" . Which biology / science book says that men have more uncontrollable urges than women ?????? They may have urges - some times women have more urges than men - in most cases its known as men. But that doesn't mean the urge is uncontrolable !!!

I understand that there are biological factors but like the whole proof of us being able to say oh we have evolved was that we can control the natural urges and impulses. Biological factors such as genetics and hormones also influence us and therefore should not be ignored. We may have become civilized, but we are still animals. About hormones, testosterone specially is found in larger amounts in males which makes them more agreesive and therefore men have more sexual urges. To understand the influence of genetics, look into evolutionary psychology for more information.

I previously compared a sexual urgency to a need to empty the bladder urgency !! Its like if as an adult you know its embarrasing to wet your pants and will hold your self and wait to realive in an appropriate place. Thats how a sexual urge it is ...............you could be a man or woman but when you know its not appropriate , you will control it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!y

What u said is sooo true...its really well explained 👏.....well i think that women are definetly more consciously aware ...the guilt comes easier to them and its not that easy to commit a crime or do something thats against principles...but u cannot completely attribute this to her nature,i think society also plays a major role in making her believe that shes supposed to be the goody goody one and all that when she also sometimes wants to break free and savour her freedom and do things that sometimes society may not consider morally right when the same things done by a man dont seem that bad..so i can say over the years the women is taken for granted by not only the men but by society in general

As I said earlier, environment plays a major role in shaping gender roles, but our instincts also sometimes kick in and may affect us (consciously or involuntarily).

hey no prob.. 😊 but what i dont understand is whether this image is beneficial to us or not..i mean i guess its nice being the good one...but hows it in the long run?when ppl continue to take us for granted dont u think its advantageous to try to change it ,gradually so that ppl stop thinking that they can do anything wheras we shd stay restricted in whatever we do..

Thank you very much. i agree with aparna about the fact that sometimes you have to control your natural urges because they r inappropriate and that is true for all people. i mean yeah men have more testosterone and that makes them more aggressive and i get that but i know tons of good men who would control their urges because its the right thing to do. so why should some men be allowed to say "its nature baby u can't mess with nature". yeah women control their urges better but that's a little due to biology and mostly due to society. i understand the biological factors but i also understand that as humans we have evolved enough to "usually" control our basic instincts so i wud like to say that biology doesn't affect that much because we can control most of it but society does and wat they do is wrong because they have a double standard for men and women and cheating by either shudn't be permissible because biology shudn't be used an excuse to justify wrongs.
