Those who are concerned with the advertisements....

Do you know how much it costs to host a bulletin board of this size? Do you know how much it costs to have unlimited bandwidth? Advertisement is a way to generate revenue for hosting, designing and maintenance services.

Yes IF can have security glitches, so does FB, MySpace and all the BB's and social networking sites. If security is a concern stop networking, because this is a problem that will never go away.

I highly reccomend using Firefox with AdBlock Plus and NoScript.

Try using a Linux based Netbook to browse the internet or partition your drive and install Linux on one part and use the Linux end while browsing.

Here is a reputed website for PC help, malware removal etc.

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/

I do not have a screenshot, so I cannot really tell more about any problem. I personally have not had any issues due to IF ever, so I cannot specifically diagnose what issues you are having. They key is identifying what you get, worm, trojan, malware, spyware or a real virus.

Hi,

Thanks for the post but however if you can post more details along with a screenshot that will help us identify the problem and if its coming from a particular ad provider we can take up the matter and if found they are really putting malware ads we will be blocking them immediately.

WE take this matter very seriously and are quite choosy in deciding on an ad network we would like to work with.

My thanks to return_to_hades for clearing the doubts of many and educating our site visitors in a way which is easy to understand for everyone.

Cheers,
Vijay
