why is Sugna so adamant?

First Sugna was in so much hurry for the gauna, then she secretly met pratap, got pregnant.. doesn't look like she is very keen about her education either. On what basis does she want to keep her baby? Whose responsibility does she think it is.. its not like she has an education and can support the child.. her in-laws have shirked off their part of the responsibility.. the parents are stuck with her.. she doesn't care about the feelings of the very people she is living with. She has no foresight about her own life, her health or the baby's future.. I don't understand how people can be so stubborn when they are themselves leading a totally dependant life. Anandi might be annoying but Sugna is plain stupid...and in this case very selfish.

No...its none of that....clearly, if she agreed to a quiet and quick abortion, there is no story line to explore....so she has to do her dialogue about "pratap ki aakhri nishaniiiiiii" so that the story can progress in whatever direction they want it to progress.

Thats what my point was... that sugna is sooo stupid... and selfish.. she has always thought about herself... she never took care of her parent's wishes or feelings...

I feel sorry for her because she doesn't want to abort, but she can't even give birth to it in the village and she can't look after the child. Someone can kill her! Honour killings are not unknown in those areas. She is in no position to insist on anything.

It will be a lot easier for Suguna and the family if she goes thru the abortion. She is silly not to listen. I totally agree with u all. She is totally incapable of bringing up a child.... both mentally and physically...

Maybe having the baby will teach her not to be so selfish. Since if you have a baby you have to think first on the baby 's benefit than yours. That will give her so backboke to take respondsibility, because i decisions does only affect her but also her love ones.

i agree why does she want to make even more trouble? did she not know that what she was doing could result in something like this
