i don't start a lot of topics on I-F, but i really felt the need to get this out of my system.
a lot of you guys are jai nair fans, and yes, so am i. i absolutely adore him.
however, i don't understand how so many of you think him to be a better dancer than salman. what has jai done that salman hasn't? i don't see how people say jai is more versatile than salman either, since salman has done a variety of dances as well, and definitely more traditional dances than jai has.
on friday, i thought salman's performance was much better than jai's since jai's was more about his actual look than his dancing, which i didn't find that remarkable. yet, people put down salman so much for not having elaborate steps, which made the performance just average for them despite salman's awesome characterization..
i'd just like someone to explain to me... why is jai kumar nair SO MUCH better than salman? yes, he's good...but what makes him THAT good to completely surpass salman, who himself is such an excellent dancer?

Well, I for one have never said Jai was better, even if i did..it would be entirely my opinion. Jai is my fav, and thats that...i love his dancing and his performances! Due to great performances, he is definitely my fav =D

In my personal opinion Jai is better than Salman. Both are versatile but Jai makes every dance look fantastic even though it is not in his forte. Jai's expressions and flexibility are another plus point . Salman does not stand out in solos, he does well, but does not do a fantastic job. If one compares the hip hop done by both, then Jai's was definitely better, Salman lacked the flexibility, same goes for the contemporary dance. When it comes to Indian styles, I think both are a little behind. I think Siddhesh and Mayuresh do a better job at the Indian performances. I haven't seen Jai do much Indian, so it would be hard to compare. Salman's emotional atyachaar, fire act and friday act would not be considered good Indian performances by me personally.

Jai's weakness is in group performances, his partner stands out more. Salman is great at group performances, always stands out, be it the acts he did with the two sisters or with Khusboo. But on his own, he doesn't create the same magic. Jai is fantastic in solos but like some say probably lacks Salman's X-factor due to which he doesn't get many votes.

jai can do anything folk, hip hop, stunts yu name it
whereas salman can only lift girls or do stunts to impress the audience
im not saying that salman is bad but not as versatile as jai or mayuresh
i thing the best in boys whould be mayurersh he has shown every type of dance
just my opinion

in my opinion salman is better, jai is really good but the way that salman dances is so graceful and clean

They are both really very sweet...both dance great!
but for some reason, i havent seen any OH MY GOD performances from Salman...like for Jai, the Bekha performance or Kaali Aankhen..etc.
I wish Salman gets a chance to do a dance like Kaali Kaali Aankhen..which was a great performance! I remember when Salman performed in the Auditions, i was totally in love with him! Still am, but still waiting for THAT performance!

i think, for me, THAT performance was the one he did on saturday. it left me speechless. it was such an amazing performance...i don't think any performance, nor any performer has hit me that hard.

but its not like salman has ONLY done stunts and lift, he's also done hip hop, contemporary and all that.. its just that when he does do stunts or lifts in one part of his performance, it completely overshadows the other parts. but that doesn't mean he didn't perform well in them.. because he did. why do people fail to see that? 😕

oh you definitely should!! he was INCREDIBLE, and i say this totally without bias. even my not-salman-fan friends thought it was absolutely beautiful.
