popularity vs talent!

JDJ is format is different from any other TV channel's talent format.. JDJ is giving an opportunity for those people who are popular and cannot find any time for dancing talent, to come and participate and improve their talent in dancing .. that is the reason why public is voting for their favourites...

They are popular at the same time, giving a chance to them to stay in the competition in the form of voting to improve their talent in dancing.. so those who are less talented should be supported to stay in the competition to prove that they are worth winning the dance competition too..

I agree to what u say..but dont you think its unfair when people who do only average dancing go high up the ladder and the people with the real inborn talent get voted out very early?

see whole point of the show is to bring that average dancing people to perform better.. the people who are already talented need no support.. because they are anyway talented... people who do not have that talent needed to be encouraged and supported..

if you see the judges voting initial stages, they always gives more marks to the male contestants than female contestants, main reason is that, girls body is more flexible than boys and can always dance better.. it is good to see them encouraging Karan and baichung in the initial episodes, now look at them, how they are picking up the dance.. it is good to see their growth..

Parul, Karan, Ram has to perform better since they do have huge fan following who expect more from them, and at any cost, they will work hard to match up those expectations, it is always good to see the encouragement and trust fans gives to these contestant to perform better..

now i heard that Ram had come back with 27.. means he really worked hard for those, and nice to hear it..

this is my POV..

I understand that some popular people can't dance, but that doesn't mean all popular people cant dance, otherwise all actors in bollywood would not dance, example, Hrithik is very popular actor, he is a mind-blowing dancer too, so I think it's wrong to say popularity vs. talent, coz talent most of the time make people popular......

well, i have to say yes and no b/c if parul was as popular as everyone says she is, then why was she in the bottom two this past week? also, there was another week where she had the lowest votes, but judges scores saved her.

Even I wanted Shweta Salve and Sandhya Mridul to win ;)
but in this season....I definately wanted Gauhar to stay in.....ok not to win but I atleast expected her to reach to the finals!....this week's elimination was the worst one

But when it comes to winning, I would go for Karan......because he is a non-dancer and he his doing a really fabulous job
Not as a Karan die hard fan but as a normal viewer also I am always looking for his performance :)
His performances are always choreographed very fabulously and themes are also amazing (I still believe that Khuda Jaane performance was the bes performance in JDJ history!)

and I dont think popularity is a bad thing...as I've said earlier its also a talent to acieve this much popularity!!
and however everyone is working hard.....infact i'd say contestants who are more populer are the one who is working hard....for exampla Karan and Parul...both of them are immensl popular and they are trying to maintain their own show and JDJ!!
unlike other "non-famous" celebrities who do nat have any projects other than JDJ to work on....they can easily spare their time for practise
SO if u compare them with the popular ones, u can see the difference on who is working harder!

i agree! the more popular you are, the more pressure is on you. people like karan and parul have to practice three times harder to make their fans happy, and i really do see loads of improvement in the both of them.

Its definately Popularity which is overmastering talent in this show but that doesnt mean that the ones who r popular dont have talent. Not all but I like Parul, she is talented plus popular.

There are many other contestants who are becoming popular on basis of their dancing talent and they are Hard Kaur, Monica, Shilpa and they deserve every bit of it!! Sad that Gauhar is out but I hope she comes back in Wild Card round.
