| Sunny Deol Last film: Apne, in 2007, with his brother Bobby Deol and their father Dharmendra. Claim to fame: When he began his career in Bollywood, it was his father's name that backed him. His defining moment as an actor came with his home production Ghayal (1990), for which he won the National Award for best actor (special jury award). Upcoming projects: He is directing and acting in the The Man. |

| Amisha Patel Last film: Bhool Bhulaiyaa was her last film, which released way back in 2007. In spite of debuting with the super hit Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai in 2000, Amisha has not been able to make it big in Bollywood. Claim to fame: In July 2004, Amisha sent a legal notice to her father Amit Patel for mismanaging her accounts and assets amounting to Rs 120 million and demanded the money back. She dated director Vikram Bhatt for five years and they broke up in 2008. Upcoming projects: Patel will be seen in two comic films, Run Bhola Run and Chatur Singh Two Star, both of which are scheduled to release in the summer of this year. Patel has also signed a three-film deal with Yash Raj Films; one of them will be directed by Shaad Ali. |

| Esha Deol Last film: Hijack, which released last year, ended up more like a suicide mission at the box office. Claim to fame: She is the daughter of superstar Dharmendra and dream girl Hema Malini. Still in search of fame, Esha has failed to be recognised even after doing a bikini scene in the super hit Dhoom (2004). Upcoming projects: She is set to star in her mother's next directorial venture with Rekha and Abhishek Bachchan. There is also a film in which Esha and her mother will be starring together for the first time. She'll be seen next in Raftaar 24x7 this year. |

| Jiah Khan Last film: She made headlines as Amitabh Bachchan's love interest in the controversial film Nishabd in 2007. Last year (2008), Jiah had a small role in Aamir Khan's blockbuster Ghajini. Claim to fame: She's still waiting for it. When she made her debut in Nishabd, she was noted for her confidence, attitude and sex appeal. Unfortunately, her performance after that got mixed reviews from critics. Upcoming projects: Her next movie is Ken Ghosh's Yahoo starring Shahid Kapoor. Jiah she plays a dance teacher. Jiah will also be seen in Sajid Khan's Houseful, which also stars Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone and Ritesh Deshmukh. |

| Upen Patel Last film: Money Hai To Honey Hai (2008) made no money at the box office. Claim to fame: He was an established model before he set foot in the film industry but unfortunately, he has had no luck with movies so far. | Kajol Last film: Her last film was U, Me Aur Hum in 2008 though she has not worked as a full time actress since marrying Ajay Devgan in 1999. She made a comeback with Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham in 2001 and then, after a five year gap, starred in Fanna in 2006. Her performance in Fanna also won her the Best Actress Award at Filmfare. Claim to fame: Kajol, who is of Bengali-Marathi descent, belongs to a family tree with a long, respectable history in Indian cinema. Her mother Tanuja is a renowned actress, whilst her late father Shomu Mukherjee was a film producer. Her late maternal aunt, Nutan, is the record holder for the most Filmfare Awards for Best Actress with five awards to her name. Kajol herself has won the Filmfare Best Actress Award four times. Upcoming projects: Kajol is currently working on Karan Johar's new movie My Name Is Khan, which is based on a true story. The film focuses on people's perceptions of Islam post September 11. It will release by the end of 2009. |

In 1999, she married Sriram Madhav Nene, an Indian doctor who resides in USA. Claim to fame: She shot to stardom with her item number Ek Do Teen in Tezaab (1988), which is popular till today. Upcoming projects: Rumours of her making her comeback in a film produced by husband Boney Kapoor were doing the rounds though it is still not certain whether they will hold true. |
