Saif Ali Khan takes a pay cut?

If the word in the ad industry is to be believed, Saif Ali Khan has offered to take a pay cut! Apparently the star made this offer first to General Motors whose car Chevrolet Aveo he endorses.

I am told that the company was keen on dropping Saif for some younger star. Afraid that he'd lose the brand, Saif is said to have offered to take a pay cut.

A little birdie also tells me that Chotey Nawab has made a similar offer to Lenovo and to all other brands of which is an ambassador.

Saif's going rate for brand endorsements is anywhere between Rs 2.5 to Rs 3 crore. But the funny part is that he isn't so much bothered about losing money as much as he is worried about losing face. A friend also tells me he has to match up to Brand Kareena, a very big task indeed!

Funny how recession hits all of us, isn't it? Even former royalty isn't spared, I guess!

they're making him out to be some sort of bad guy.. these guys need to grow up.. i think some of the other actors who charge over the top learn a lesson and take pay cuts as well and show their support..
