She's been in the industry for over a decade, but it's only now that actress Sonia Kapoor is getting what's she's always wanted - her own house. Kapoor has just moved into a huge Oshiwara apartment. "I've always wanted to live in a house that I could proudly say is mine," she says excitedly.
However, this isn't the first house the actress has bought with her own hard-earned money. She has lived in Andheri (East) all her life. "Buying this house wasn't as difficult as convincing my parents to move into it."
The senior Kapoors refused to leave the area in which they spent their whole lives. Her parents, who live with her, needed much persuasion. "I moved into this house a while ago but I couldn't complete the decor as I was busy with my hectic shooting schedules," Kapoor says.
Apart from Remix, she is also a part of Piya Ka Ghar. About her work, the actress says that her comic role in Remix gives her plenty of opportunity to display her knack for histrionics.
But at the moment, it's her home that makes her proud. "t's a 1,250 sq feet flat. The best part about it is its ventilation.
My favourite section is the kitchen, as it is the only part I readied before moving in." Kapoor says that for an industry person it's always better to live in the East. "Lokhandwala, Versova, or Oshiwara are the places where most actors reside.
Living in this part of town, you save a lot of time travelling." Kapoor doesn't want to disclose the amount she spent for her flat. "This is my comfort zone and I want to make it as positive and warm as I can."
