Lately I've started to think that there are many similarities between Jane Austen's book "Pride and Prejudice" and KMH,

I mean Arjun is totally like Mr. Darcy, cold and angry all the time, confused about his feelings for Arohi and trying to deny them.

Arohi is just like Elizabeth Bennet, self-respecting, and not liking Arjun because of his supposedly snobbish attitude

And the rest of the family is kinda similar too..

Arohi has 3 sisters to get married.

Arjun's nice friend Salil falls in love with one of them and Elizabeth's sister Jane and Mr. Darcy's friend Mr. Bingley

This is purely my opnion, It does not mean that KMH is not a good show, KMH is awesome especially cause of Arjun ☺️

What do you guys think?

oh I so love Mr. Darcy in the book!!

as for similarities, you are right!😊 I mean leaving out the minor differences of a nagging mother trying to get the pretty girl settled so the less unfortunate ones can have decent husbands it is quite similar. But these days almost all stories follow same pattern. Not so rich girl with strong values who think the worst of the guy. Same goes for rich arrogant alpha male guy!

You're right I guess every show has kinda the same story but no show has a feisty lead like Arohi and I like it!!

Girl Power! lol!

Arjun is definitely an Alpha male but I'm glad he's not the playboy kinds!!!

totally in girl power. I love how Ekta tries to show women with good values. No matter how much people nag about wrong messages in Ekta serials, I find the actual message good. Like having faith in God, loving parents, family values. One thing I can't stand is the always crying girl. I am not against it. I like seeing a girl cry. It's such an ungirly trait for a girl not to cry when her heart is breaking. But always trying to play the "mahan" role is sooo annoying and not realistic at all. Always forgiving the villain, forgiveness is a great trait I do agree but there is a limit. Constantly forgiving and trying to change someone is unreal. I can even put up with dead being reborn again but not a flawed unrealistic character.

Arohi rocks. Her character makes sense! She has the values, the drive, she is sassy and cool. She is not a 50 year old woman stuck in a young girl's body yet she is like a mother when situation calls for it. I still remember the scene where she pacified Antara by telling her a story. So touching and one of the best scenes I have seen till date. She is fun! She charming. She is friendly! She is frank and straightforward!

And our dear Arjun is truly and Alpha male. Flaring nostrils, pride and all. I am glad he is not a playboy either😆😆. But it make sense in this story! It's beautiful!

I wish Darcy was real too!!😳

Very true about the Mahan part, that I think is unrealistic, even Miss. Kapoor (Ekta) doesn't believe in it herself!!

Arohi is definitely feminine but not the Damsel in Distress kinds, she looks like she can take care of herself which i think is quite new to K-serials 😆

I want more Arjun confused about his feeling for Arohi scenes!!!

And I hope Purvi and Salil get married, they're super cute together!!!

u guys are so right....Arjun is just like Mr Darcy!! he's soooo suave & oozez charm!!! I wish they made guys like that in real life to!! LOL!!😍

& i noticed this too, i mean, this show doesn't have have those deafenig music & light effects that had become synonomous with all the K-serials(& also the ones without the K!!)....👏

this show is different, sans Purvi, all characters, especially the protagonist, are cheerfull & cool!!! Therez less of 'rona-dhona'...and did you guys notice that, thankfully, there are no bollywood songs being played ALL THE TIME in the show, unlike all others (cheers to that!!)....i mean, even the scene where Salil & Purvi were dancing at the re-union, the music was purely instrumental....kudos to the originality!!👍🏼

i sincerily hope that this show sticks to its concept..& does not introduce irrational changes in the storyline just for the sake of including the viewership of rusting old minds....🤢

the show has a younger feel to it, i hope it continues that way.....only time will tell!!! But figers crossed!!!

but it would be nice if ekta did copy of that change it around and surprise us cause i dont like predictable things!

o m g...Pride and Prejudice is my most fave book ever...Jane Austen is my idol...lol....

I totally agree with you Janvi...I just noticed all the similarities now...I mean Arjun-Darcy (I love both BTW) Lizzie-Arohi...both are spontanteous, well spirited and outspoken....wow and Purvi is exactly like Jane
