Sorry about the delay guys but I had class!
Jyoti knocks on Sudha door for a while until she opens it and Sudha comes out looking tired and Jyoti asks her why she took so long and says she knows that Sudha couldn't sleep because she was afraid of Dadi's arrival. She says Sudha went to bed early and Sudha replies saying she doesn't know why she has been sleeping for so long when she went to bed on time and fell asleep right away but she couldn't get up. Jyoti tells her that she came to tell her she is leaving and not to worry. She says she will try to come home early. Sudha watches her go worried.
Jyoti goes to the kitchen and her mom tells her to wait while she makes her tiffin. Sushma comes in and Jyoti finds out she isn't going to school. Padma says it's because there are many things to do before Dadi comes because she has so many requirements and she cant do it alone. She says she only has sushma because Jyoti has work. She tells Sushma to go take a bath and tells Jyoti she needs money for the house. Jyoti asks if the money she gave her was done already and she says no but they will soon because she has to prepare things for Dadi's requests. Jyoti says there is a lot of time before the end of the month and that she only has 500 out of which she need 200 for petrol. She tells her to keep 300 and Padma apologizes for making her worry so early in the morning but refuses when Jyoti tries to give her more money. Deepu comes in complaining that Dadi should come on Sunday because by her coming today he will miss his coaching. As Jyoti leaves he asks her why she isn't coming to pick dadi up and she says she will lose money at work if she takes too many days off. She leaves and Deepu complains to Padma that Jyoti with her sweet words still reminded them that she makes money and that he will complain to Dadi but Padma says he cant because Dadi doesn't control his food, water and cash. He leaves quietly.
Jyoti is dancing at rehearsal and at the end she is praised by Dada and he compliments Jyoti and Brij's chemistry saying that it does half the work. He also says with a lead pair like them every show will be successful. They thank him and Jyoti excuses herself but Brij follows and asks if she understood what Dada was saying and then says how will they tell Dada that what he sees is because it is true in reality. Jyoti just walks away smiling.
She walks into the dressing room and takes off her dupatta and Brij comes in and starts to unzip her shirt but she turns and puts on her dupatta asking him what he is doing. He tries to hug her and get closer and she says no and tells him to leave and he says he will once she answers his question. He asks when they will be a real jodi and she says to wait for a few years until her mangal and other problems are over so that she can marry him with no worries and he says okay. She tells him to go and turns. He tries to pull of her dupatta and she tells him no and to stay in his limits. He says he wont be able to stay away from her for so many years and she says that they see each other every day and he says he isn't talking about that kind of distance. She looks at him shocked and he says he understands why they cant get married but he doesn't understand why they have to keep their distance because one day they have to be together and that they both may not be able to wait that long and asks what is wrong with them being close and tells her to think about it. Jyoti just stares at him and he asks her why she is looking at him like that. She asks him if he realizes what he asked of her. She says that she doesn't think that love I enough anymore and that there are strings attached. She says she didn't expect that from him. He says dreaming is one thing but understanding life's practicality is something else. He cups her cheeks but she pushes him away telling him not to touch her and tells him not to tell him what life's practicality because if the eldest daughter of a middle class family doesn't understand it then living life will become difficult. She says he is right that she is living in dreams and says it's good that he woke her up. He says that she is misunderstanding him and that he loves her and not to overreact. She says she is late and that she had to tell him some things him but not anymore. He says that in this relationship he cant say what he feels but she just leaves.
Deepu comes in with bags announcing that Dadi is there and when they come out and Padma asks where she is he says she is arguing with the rickshaw driver. They all go out and as they do Deepu show Sushma money that Dadi gave him and she says good because he can return the 300 rupees that Jyoti gave him and they can use it elsewhere but Dadi hears and says that she has crossed the limit and tells Padma to teach her daughters so keep in line like she told her to. She then scolds Sushma competing with her older brother like that and then gives her 50 rupees and when Sushma says that is less than what she gave Deepu she calls her greedy and not to compete with Deepu. Sushma starts to say something but Padma stops her and calls Dadi inside.
Deepu asks her if she got him something and she scolds him. Dadi sees their Dad and says she feels sad seeing him and asks Padma to get her water. She asks him what she has done in her other life to be left alone in the village and says he has gone pale and says no one thinks of him because of his disability. She looks around and Padma where Jyoti is. Padma tells her she is gone to her office and Dadi says that she is come from so far away and Jyoti doesn't have even have a little time to wait for her.
Jyoti is sitting alone at a desk at the orphanage and remembers Brij's words, her telling him not to touch her and him saying he cant even say how he feels. She sits there holding her head.
Dadi gives Deepu a laddo to eat that she made. Sushma and Padma give her a look. Dadi asks Padma why she isn't worried that her daughters are so late. Padma says that it takes time to travel because it's the city and then says Jyoti is at work and that sudha should be home soon. Dadi says sarcastically that she is right because she sits in the village with nothing to do and comes to visit them when her heart wants to see them and she doesn't care about her work.
Sudha comes home and Sushma meets her at the gate saying that Dadi has arrived. Sudha looks scared and they go in. Deepu nudges Dadi who is drinking water and she calls Sudha to her sweetly asking her if she is done studying and to sit next to her. She says she was dying to see her since she hadn't seen her for such a long time. She asks Sudha where she was and Padma and Sushma give her looks. Sudha stutters out that she was at the library and then Dadi says that she raised her and asks her if she remembers the food she used to give her. She says Sudha wasn't home to see her and asks what she will do by studying and Deepu smirks. She then says that it's better to cut out your heart for people. She wonders if she will have to send an invitation to Jyoti. Padma says that Jyoti sometimes has rehearsals and Sushma tells her that Jyoti is the lead dancer. Dadi sarcastically says that she will tell everyone that her grad daughter is a dancer and made them so happy. She says that in a house with a disabled father who will control their daughters. Padma says Jyoti gets money to dance. Dadi says they will have to bear it because Jyoti gives them money. Dadi then gets a shocked look and Deepu's smile falters as they see Jyoti standing there.
