It's unusual for playback singers to remain in the limelight and steal the show, however for Sonu Nigam; the case is different. Though he proved his singing talent as a playback in the very initial stages when he started in the industry, Sonu Nigam has succeeded in achieving more than just being a playback singer and has brought numerous Indi-pop albums, tried his hand in TV show anchoring and also proved his acting skill in Bollywood movies.
"Nowadays, songs have become just ring tones. Producers and directors ask for ring tones," says the acclaimed singer, Sonu Nigam. Relating his experience as an actor & singer in Bollywood, Sonu Nigam said, "I don't consider Farhan a singer...and I don't think he does either."
With much boldness this popular Indian singer gets into a critical topic regarding Pakistani singers. He shares his views on Pakistani singers who have obtained much respect & popularity on the Indian soil. He questions their indifference; "Pakistani singers should thank us at least once because of the respect they get in India".
He further adds onto his thoughts about them and says, "Why do all Pak singers take money for concerts in cash, and do they pay taxes? All the money they get is black money".
