OK i agree marriaages between these two religions is not comman in middle class or comman people but i dont think it will be very long for that to happen.

If Muslims are expected to oppose terrorists then wht is wrong in that? hindus go over board to oppose hindu fantics then what is wrong if this same thing is done by Muslims

Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Srk khan, Irrfan Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Dutt, Waheedaji the list goes on and on. I agree some of these flings were on way before they were a star but if any of the family did oppose the marriage just imagine what image they would get in the media?At the end of the day, out of this 1 billion population, my guess would be that it does not occur even between 1% of the population.😕And again an average hindu/muslim in India would be a fairly moderate one where marrying anyone outside religion is unthinkable due to various reasons like marriage rituals, child's upbringing etc and in all these scenarios only the hindu marriage has taken place except in the case of farah khan as far as I know. And now that you mentioned aamir khan, just check out the net and you will find that his family had problems with the girls religion and didn't accept the marriage at first😉

It is still a very uncommon practice. Celebs often marry from another religion but take an ordinary man from UP/Bihar in one of its villages and see what would be done to them if they even think the unthinkable of marrying outside religiln. In our country marrying outside our own caste is still such a huge problem and you say its common to marry outside religion? Definitely not common at all!

India doesn't consist of all people coming from the bollywood industry and just look around and see the riots, extremeists, the hatred still exists so this marriage business is not promininent in an average indian at all. Leave middle class, even the poor people wouldn't do it even if they were paid! Just my opinion but judging from the atmosphere my relatives in India are brought up in, I refuse to call it anything even close to a common practice.

Maybe you see this attitude changing, I definitely don't. In my case anyway, the cons definitely outweigh the pros.

Mind you I would agree that down south between hindus and christians there are more and more marriages-my friends themselves have been bought up in a mixed way-mandir and church both but don't 4get 60% of india live in rural areas where such practices may force someone to take your life. Just read the recent news and you'll know what i'm saying.
