I believe, that the creativity of the Bandini production team, the time and research they put in the serial, the dialogues, music etc along with superb acting will make Bandini a winner...and in time we shall see the result in the charts. Its too early now and as such this article is just a cart load of bakwas.

I just want to point out that when NDTV Imagine first launched, the two serials that I liked to watch Ek packet Umeed and Radha ki betiyaan are still running. Both are two completely different show. Ek packet is produced by the same people as Baa, Baby.... and showcases a talented bunch of ladies.

Radha too took time to warm up to audience and it went form once a week one hour show to half an hour daily.

I want a channel where the audience has a choice to see something different, something not in a formulaic mode like dozen or so other shows. With competitions that I see now, a production house has to start catering to different types of audience, the teens, the young adults and the not so young. Also time now to branch out in different genre too.....SRK has launched their venture on TV and they have done with a comdedy...good because why saturate the markets with drama. Who knows one day soon we will see Scifi or Paranormal or even fantasy...may be we will even have our desi vampire...just like Angel.

I used to watch Mere Apne on 9X (from beginning to end and it was one of the truly few indian shows that I enjoyed watching) . It had big stars and it was a good production (better than some other shows on other channels) . Unfortunately 9X did not get popular and the trps for 9X shows didn't even reach 1.0. Then 9X joined hands with Balaji in hope of gaining popularity (from my observation, it seems that serials based on hindu religion seem to attract an audience i.e. hence Balaji and 9X expected Mahabharat to suceed. Personally, after having watch the older version by B.R, Chopra I never watched the Balaji production as I did not think it could be better inspite of Balaji big time actors and actresses enacting the roles).

I used to watch Bidaai too from the very first day on Star Plus (a relative was essaying a role) and Bidaai occupied top 5 position upon launch at the 9pm slot. Bidaai has gone on to do wonders. It is a good show overall.

I did not expect Bandini to skyrocket to the top of ratings. So I am not dissappointed that it hasn't. Balaji I feel has lost its captive audience for obvious reasons. Regaining audience will be an uphill task for them. Don't expect miracles. Based on their past productions, the name Balaji conjures up and image of multiple marriages, spineless characters, vamps etc etc. So one expects the same in their new serials. If they try something different and do it well, the word will spread after some time and the ratings for the show might improve. If not it will be axed and they will have to keep on trying again.

One should watch a programme that appeals to oneself, not based on the ratings. If you enjoy the show, watch it. At the end of the 30 mins, you should have a smile on your face. That should be the criterion. Don't let ratings dictate your choice.

Enjoy Bandini whilst it lasts.
😃

And the diff in Bandini is, it IS maintaining the difference u mentioned😛That's the point here....here no spineless characters, no unnecessary vamps, and multiple marriages....only 2....that also after the wife's death....

And what u said, I agree with it...I also love Bidai😳
