Saif Ali Khan his been on cloud nine since he got National Award. The controversy about the award is over as his acting skill in 'Hum Tum' followed by 'Parineeta' has certainly blasted the myth that he was given the award for any consideration other than his performance. His recent performances have also made him popular in the two top Bollywood banners of Johar and Chopra. Besides, Saif has gained support among teenagers and multiplexes. To gain more popularity among the next generation, he is busy in building his body by going to gym regularly as is done by his other colleagues. He is no more seen frequenting the discos and bars. Even in the midst of these good news, he has also faced with not so comfortable moments. Only a couple of days back, he was held and bailed out in a car accident. Besides, he is not very happy since his separation with his former wife Amrita Singh who is living with their two children.
Despite his separation, he hasn't forgotten the bright past he has had with Amrita and their children. This pains him every now and then though he has another girl to live with. Saif is always worried about his family and says that he gets too busy in the work as he has to earn a lot to take care of his family. He has changed altogether from a spoilt chhota nawab to a serious professional. As a result, he has turned choosy in regard to his assignments. He reads the script, tries to check the name of the director and the cameraman even. He acts in a movie if he likes the story. He doesn't want to repeat his past mistakes. The chhote nawab has also suffered a bit during the current year following the case involving his father Nawab of Pataudi in the alleged killing of a banned animal and consequent going to jail though very briefly. His latest heroine in 'Parineeta' is too much impressed by his talent and cooperative behavior. Saif is too excited because his mother Sharmila once a heartthrob of Bollywood also felt proud of his performance in 'Parineeta' and sent him a SMS to this effect.
