There has been a great ensemble on Taxi with Andy Kaufmann, Danny Devito, but the greatness was only in flashes, Cheers will hold your attention for sometime, Law and Order gets winding sometimes, Seinfeld was boring some weeks and MASH, well after Trapper left wasnt great. Sapranos gets boring when Tony walks away
You feel bad for the generation which has only seen Ekta and Ekta type serials their entire life
Tamas holds your attention. It was a must see event then. The acting was the best I have seen, It has been the best I have seen Om Puri act and that is saying something

Subaah was another Television serial that was set in current times, with current problems.
