Deepika signed CCTC before she signed OSO. She don't have a filmy parents to tell her which movie to take or not. And besides this was her big chance since working with this director is a huge deal for a newcomer.

Akshay is actually a decent actor when he is given a chance to show his potential like say in Khakee. But how many people like to see him in those type of roles. People like to see him in nonsense comedies like SIK. There I said it. The reason CCTC did not succeed is because Nikhil tried to put too many things in this movie. It wasn't an out and out comedy like what people are used to seeing Akshay in. The dramatic stuff put people off. That is what I have gotten from the reviews and feedback I have seen and heard.

And now Shekhar has given this gem of an interview:

When he was 13 he said he wanted to marry the girl he was in love with, and eventually he broke up with her," said Shekhar Suman, when we asked him if Kangana Ranaut was Shekhar's son Adhyayan's first love. "And," he added wistfully, Adhyayan's childhood sweetheart had been "pretty, educated, and from a good family."

Shekhar and his wife Alka would have been happy to welcome her into the family whenever Adhyayan would have wanted them to but it was not to be.

What he left unsaid was that if that hadn't lasted what was the guarantee that Adhyayan's relationship with Kangana would. Be that as it may, Shekhar admits that while he was happy when Adhyayan told him he loved Kangana, he definitely tempered his happiness with huge doses of advice.

"Just don't let it take you away from your work," he told his son, "this is the time to concentrate on your career. That is much more important than your love life and see to it that you never visit her on the sets. And please, no PDA (Public display of love)."

Does Shekhar like her? "My son is happy and that makes me happy. But when a young boy goes out with someone who is not only elder but also senior, things can be misinterpreted.

I respect her for the work she has done. She is a fantastic actress. It couldn't have been easy to come from a small town and make her way here.

Yes, she has a past, but like my son said, who doesn't. But there is no bahu shahu here. Adhyayan will not marry for at least ten years and who knows what will change when.

I don't know Kangana well but there is no animosity towards her at all. I wish them all the best. If the relationship survives, then that's for the best, if not, life will go on, as it did when he broke up with his first girlfriend."

I saw it in the cinema yesterday and it was senseless. Entertaining in certain areas but meaningless and foolish. The only positive part was the music, picturisation of the title track and Akshay's funny dialogues in certain areas.

By the way, Deepika's dad is a chinese in the film who speaks hindi.

Sonam, Shekhar's potshots have everything to do with Raaz -2 which releases this Friday. The fact that he didn't lash out at Drona or Yuvraaj but only chose to speak about CCTC makes it so clear.

Shekhar was worried that CC2C would be a big hit and then eat out onto his son's film. Now he is jubiliant. He is just creating hungama to get attention.

Trust me I know a little about how people manipulate media and then put whole blame onto media😉. Recently there was a birthday party for beta and both father and son were using Kangana's name to get all the attention. Shekhar even said now he accepts Kangana. The whole time Kangana kept quiet and stood there with a smile. You will see and hear more of Shekhar Suman in coming days.

As for CC2C I really don't care to watch it😃. Seeing such bad reviews, I won't waste my time just like I never bothered to watch Drona or Yuvraaj. I am not going to watch any of Akshay's tomfoolery. I never really watch unless it comes on TV and I am free. I have never watched his comedies on DVD or in theatre ever.

i still think akshay is a wooden actor and the only thing he is good at, is lifting his leading ladies . and if one think he has mastered the comic timming , sorry , i would slide the credit to the powerful punch lines he gets ( or stealing ? 😛) .
