Although I feel bad for this poor guy, people did and do expect a lot from him. On top of that, he gets overshadowed by his father and wife. 😆

Abhishek is very lucky to have gotten these many chances. No one including the 3-4 times relaunched star children is this lucky. Most people get one or 2 or max. 3 chances to prove themselves ( I know there is Uday Chopra but even he doesn't get to work with famous film makers) whereas Abhi gets at least 10 chances and then he proves good and people rave about him. Good for him.

One thing which annoys me of him is that he never learns from his past mistakes. He knows he is criticized for his weight and appearance still he keeps attending functions in the same unkempt look in a podgy figure wearing a butler tie. Each time the excuse is that he is in the character. I mean he is in this look since Yuva...how many more of this unshaven look he is going to carry?

In Dilli 6 he is playing an NRI so why does he need unshaven look or for that matter in KANK? Clean up buddy!

As for top slot...hmm...we shall overcome some day.

You said it. He's bound to be compared to his father and unfortunately he's no where close to him and now he is overshadowed by his wife too. He definitely does not have the USP that SRK, salman, aamir, akshay or hrithik have. An akshay can carry off a movie with a non actress like Katrina but I dont think Abhi can handle it. So he has to rely on good scripts and good actresses and having such attitude of not wanting to act with some actresses is going to hurt him.

No one ever doubted Abhi's talent..........only he was over burdened by expectations and bogged down by a larger than life shadow looming over him.........But he proved himself with Bunty aur Babli, Dostana and Yuva and Guru

I think he has the potential to become one of the top heroes in a couple of years , hes proved he can act in movies like sarkar,guru and KANK, he just to do more different roles and make sensible choices so that he doesn't do pointless movies like drona, and he should do more comedy movies as well because he was good in dostana, if abhi can make it to the top mostly due to comedy movies than serious movies with the exceptions being waqt and bhool bhulaiya,abhi definately can become a big actor after giving such a mature performance in guru.
