I think Singam is a nallavar...😉 working hand in hand with Arase to nab the bad guys. I am sure he has to show his "hatred" towards Arase to prove to TKV and the rest that he too is all out to take revenge on Arase & family for his son's untimely death.

In one episode his conversation with Arase was in "mute"....after which he was very agreeable to her conditions and has been loyal ever since in assisting her ....😃
