Is it justified to have kids working in television?

Have we ever thought that these kids who entertain all of us on the small screen are deprived from enjoying their childhood? They rush from school to the sets and that is how they live their diligent lives from such a small age. Many experts believe that it robs them of a normal childhood while the artists in question and their immediate circle vehemently deny such claims.
Parents of three year old Dhriti Bhatia, who plays Krishna in Jai Shri Krishna and shoots for about 6 hours a day, says their child enjoys shooting and adds to the lively atmosphere on the sets. "She loves acting and jahan tak uske bachpan ki baat hai toh wo toh set par hi bahot masti karti hai," says her dad. How ever he feels being so small, she has nothing to study as of now and so finds no problem in having her work in television. "Jab badi ho jayegi toh khud hi decide kar legi use kya karma hai," he says.
Icchha of Uttaran, Sparsh Khanchandani, shoots for about 7 hours a day. After she finishes with her school her mother rushes her to the sets. Her mother feels that it was completely the 8 year old's decision to go for acting at this stage and they have worked out the best way possible for her to do study and act. "After watching Balika's Anandi, Sparsh wanted to desperately go into acting. We've consulted her principal and teachers and by God's grace, she's a topper."
Swini Khare, the cute Chetali from Baa Bahu Baby, says she has always stood 1st in her class and she can manage her studies and shooting pretty well. "I shoot for 3 hours on an average and I thoroughly enjoy on the sets as I have many friends. The working atmosphere is too good," replies the 5th standard girl. Studies have never been a problem for her as she says, "I carry my books to the sets too".
