At first place gehna marries this guy, and now she is fighting.

Ok i agree that she did this wedding for her family. but thats her own problem. now its of no use to fight with her mother in law or husband.

her in laws didnt force her to get married. may be its her own parents, who forced her to marry. So she should fight with her parents for getting her married to an old guy. she should not fight with her in laws. I dont think they are at any fault.

this is so stupid.

More than anything else, the reason Gehna does not fulfill her "wifely" duties is because she is afraid she will be left to die by Maasa if she can't deliver a boy. This is what happened to Basanth's first wife. It was when Gehna heard about this that she started to put her foot down.

I agree that Gehna's parents are at fault too for marrying her off to an older guy for money, but if Maasa had not offered any money to her parents and brought it up as just another marriage proposal, her parents may not have been so eager to get her married off.

Gehna is friendly with everyone else in the family, so her resentment is not just frustration that she throws at her in-laws.

One thing interesting is to know how Gehna's story will end...I don't see her ever accepting Basanth (If she does, all that she is fighting for is a waste). Divorce is unheard of not just for Maasa's family, but also knowing what the villagers will do to Gehna...

i really dont think it is stupid for gehna to fight withher husband.. coz he is the one who has used her (u know how... i cant be very expressive) without thinking of her desires and situation. she has all the right to deprive her husband of all pleasures of a good marriage.. n thatz why she isnt even talking to him.
also, gehna has a right to be resentful n disobedient of her mother-in-law.. coz ultimately she is the one who has never bothered to be sensitive to her circumstances.. all masaa wants is a child (boy)!! n for that selfish aim she is using gehna.. do u expect Gehna to give in so easily to those people who have shown utter disrespect to her character and nature and have indirectly forced her to an improper marriage!?

ok i agree that gehna deserves all the happiness...

my question is why the hell she agried to get married to this old guy... she very well knew that the guy is much older than her...

she should have opposed her parents before getting married... if she had this much guts to fight with her in laws why she kept quite when her parents forced her to get married... because they were her parents... and these are her in laws???? thats not fair..

i think its only gehna's fault... she shouldnt blame any body...

i dont think she is playing the blame game.. watever resistance she could hv possibly shown to her parents.. she has already shown.. n she knows the pressure on her parents to get their other two daughters married.. i dont see Gehna making any distinction between her parents n in-laws.
Gehna is not blaming anyone.. she is only trying to make dadisa and her husband realize wat mistakes they hv made and are still making.. because she is aware of the consequences of keeping quiet.

she didn't to anything inspite of getting married with a much older man than her....firstly she had done it for her parents...mostly her father......but she is doing all these to find her husband quite abusive & heartless.....vasant has nearly raped his wife at the very first night....he didn't get married for love or anything..but for only his insatiable desire .....the most important thing is..he didn't have any respect towards his wife within his heart..he doesn't know how to respect a woman.....
sadly masa..who is herself a woman..& who is enjoying the full freedom ....tried to strangle her bahus.......
whatever Gehna told is all truth....that valyani majeesaa & her elder son has to understand the bahus are not maids.....not animals....they should be given proper respect..since the dawn to midnight they work for the household..& if in return they get only disrespect & insult..they should have the right to protest......
Masa could do nothing if Sumitra, Gehna, Anandi, Sugna & Jagdish denied to obey her.....as younger should obey an elder..the elder should maintain their their own respect so that younger could respect them...
