Its like comparing bad to worse, but what are your views?

Some of my views, below, which may be incorrect:

--
1) Congress: looks like that it gives mediocre and average results. That may be OK because taking big steps in a complex world can lead to anywhere.

They are also corrupt. Not to mention that all are corrupt

India's current situation, good or bad, is due to them. They were the ones mainly in power, but of course this cannot be solely attributed to them.

They are obsessed with dynasty system and ultimately someone from "Gandhi" family is in power.

2) BJP: looks to be short sighted. Some of their issues don't seem to be pertinent for India as a country and are trivial at best.

Their extremist agenda has led to situations like Babri, Modi etc. This has not only divided our own people, but has given virtual ammunition to Pakistan and terrorists.

3) Communists: One word for them "Inaction". They live in theory and do not realize that theory and practice do not match often. They only seem to preach inaction.

Opposed Internet, Nuclear deal, etc.

Looks like they support China more than India.

4) Others: to edit later.
--

Overall, there is also a point that each party has a few good leaders even if majority of them are bad.

I wish there were only two parties in India (Congress and BJP for example). Regional parties should be banned from contesting Loksabha polls.
From Cong and BJP, I prefer BJP.

You know what, I was also thinking the same thing two days back. But I think, only two parties will create huge amount of corruption at higher levels. Then there will be lesser freedom of speech, diversity is good to some extent.
1. the legislature/constitution needs some serious ammendments like a party should have some guidelines/agenda which it should strictly practice not just switch from that for it's own benefit since people will vote them based on that, post-election cannot join other political parties to be in power, all ties before election.
2. People should be educated enough to exercise their voting rights. There should be a minimum education level like 8th or 10th or more the better.
3. No person with criminal background can contest to be a leader.

All parties with allegiance to any religion or caste should be banned in India. So no RSS, BJP, DMK, IML etc.

I feel there is no problem with the political parties or leaders, they cater to the people who vote en-masse to elect them. People who have problem with these parties/leaders dont show up in numbers at the time of election and just like to crib how bad things are, these people are the problem, not the political parties or the leaders
Once the people come to senses and the leaders see that they will enact the right policies, till then they will enact policies that get them elected and I cant fault them for that

But, dont you think that some of the extremist policies of BJP are dividing our nation on the basis of religion?

Regarding Congress, I have a feeling that it is dividing our people on the basis of caste by using "quota system".

1. Moreover, it is strange that some parties like congress dont even declare their candidates beforehand. Sometimes we even dont know who will be our PM while voting.

2. This may not be feasible in democracy because everyone gets 1 vote. Moreover, unfortunately, just getting a degree or pass certificate may not mean educated. Many people need to be educated, but real education should include everything like school, culture, environment etc.
