hey last week didnt they pick 14 girls and 14 guys...a total of 28 competitors...why are there only 7 guys???i wan a bit confussed

I was confused too initially. But this is the format: the 14 boys and 14 girls are each divided into two - so each group has 7 contestants. A group of 7 (either all boys or all girls) sings on Monday and the audience votes for them until Tuesday morning 8:30 am. 3 out of these 7 contestants get chosen to go to the final round of 12 based on audience votes. The results are announced in Tuesday's episode.

Next week 7 more contestants perform on Mon - results on Tuesday. In short this round of 28 will take 4 weeks to complete with only 7 contestants performing per week and 3 get chosen per week.

So, at the end of 4 weeks (4 piano rounds) we get the final 12 contestants which will ofcourse be 6 girls and 6 boys.

So, we now finished one piano round and have 3 boys chosen for final 12. They sit on the bench for 3 weeks ( more time for them to prepare!). Next week 7 girls will perform.

On a personal note I don't like the way it is done. If they are doing it in groups then atleast they should telecast it Mon-Thu and finish 2 rounds in one week. The audience has to wait a whole week to listen to the next batch of contestants!

yes, personally, i agree with you....it should not be stretched sooo much...i think that Mon one group should go and then Tues the next group should be going, but instead they waste time by playing mind games and ads.....😆
