Sachin's adopted beti speaks...

After reading the hitList story 'Sachin-Supriya meet adopted dauhter Kittu after seven years' on Friday, we got a call from Kharishma Makhni, who, the couple claims, was taken away from them by her father, Kuldeep Makhni. However Kharishma has a different story to tell.

"I was shocked to read in the papers about my own father taking me away from Sachin Papa and Chhoti Mamma (Supriya).

Till date, I have kept my mouth shut and never told the world that I am Sachin-Supriya's adopted child. But if they can talk about it without taking me into confidence, and malign my father's name, then I have every right to give my side of the story."

Kharishma says she has been hounded by calls from friends asking her who her real parents are. "I really wonder if Sachin-Supriya consider me their daughter. I am confused myself."

Sachin asked me to leave

The aspiring actress recalls the early childhood days she spent with the Pilgaonkars. "I was very small when I was adopted. But I do remember specifically that my biological dad, Kuldeep Makhni, never secretly took me away. In fact, I was asked by Sachin Papa to leave their house.

At that point of time, my father was getting threats from the underworld and the whole situation had become very unsafe for me. Sachin Papa thought I should not stay with them, as it posed danger to them as well. That is when I left the country to go to the UK with my dad."

She adds, "It was only in 1998 that I met Supriya Mamma, with Shriya, in London. It was quite an emotional moment for me, to see them after so many years. However, when I came down to Mumbai to make my career as an actress, I didn't get a very warm response from Sachin Papa."

Thrown out again

Sachin asked Kharishma to stay with them for six months, only to ask her later to leave their home. "They said my presence was affecting Shriya's studies. So I decided it was best to move out and stay on my own. Today, I am living alone and wanting to make it big without using anyone's contacts."

Interestingly, Kharishma says her older brother Manjeet was also under the care of Sachin-Supriya. "He was shocked when he read about my adoption. They hadn't mentioned him at all — as if he never existed.
He is really fond of Sachin Papa."

Kharishma says she doesn't have any anger or hatred towards the Pilgaonkars, but wonders why they haven't acknowledged her as their daughter in the true sense.

"All I want to know is if they considered me as their own daughter, why didn't they bother to keep in touch? So many of my calls were unanswered, and when I would call I was asked to call back later. It did hurt me in a way as I kept asking myself who am I?".

Kharishma wants to get into television and become an actress. "I have completed Kishore Namit Kapoor's acting classes, and now want to make it on my own in the industry."

Seems like this girl Kharishma is seeking some free publicity - especially if she is an aspiring actress. 'Ehsan Faramosh'!
She should be grateful to S-S for adopting her and making her a part of their lives even if it was for a short while. We really don't know the whole story and as to why Sachin asked her to leave. There must be a reason.Supriya seems the really emotional sort and must have taken a liking to this kid when she was little and is more emotionally attached.

i also felt the same jaysp that this girl wants free pubicity -she is just spoiling sachin and supriya's image-As both sachin and Supriya are such nice human being -they cant do what this girl is saying-there must be some reason behind this-this just one side of the story-i just hope sachin and supriya also speak abt this girl -and clarify abt all this allegation's made by this girl-as this a critical time for them as in finals only people's vote will be counted-now i just pray they shud win the contest-as they truely deserve to win it-

i guess u guys did'n read the article she said tht sachin papa n supriya mom talked at her first soo now she feels tht she should also talk for them soo she is not here for publicity guys n in this articleshe is asking do they still think her as her daughter

i agree with lovly angel.
Guess who needs publicity here.... she was not the one who started. she spoke bcoz someone was getting good publicity putting her dad on bad side. anyone would have done that on her place.
she even said they shud have talked to her first n then said in front of media.
One more question... Y would S-S take out her topic at this stage of Nach baliye. Like some of you people here...... many other emotional indians can vote for them.

I somewhat agree. But another question surfaces - if we have to believe everything that comes out in print, then its definitely a problem, because most of these stuff are not 100 p.c. correct but have been blown out of proportions.
I am not saying that this isn't true or what - But what if it isn't? All human beings are grey characters, you hardly cannot expect anybody to be purely white or completely black?
I read the previous article on this girl. it was mentioned that Sachin has named his production company KITTU Prods. (something like that) after her. There's more to it than meets the eye, i guess.
